"I never craved attention, until I tasted yours."

The sky gradually cleared, revealing a canvas of vibrant colors as the sun dipped lower on the horizon—the melodic chorus of birds chirping filled the air, adding a serene soundtrack to the scene. As twilight approached, the landscape transformed into a breathtaking spectacle, with rich maroon and deep red hues blending, creating an ethereal tapestry that seemed almost otherworldly.

Near west, a small penthouse had an overly pent-up individual who was currently fussing and panicking over the shocking news that he happened to stumble upon in the morning. "An invitation to THE Satin Swing Soiree!!!" The individual must be hallucinating because how in the god all mighty, did he get this opportunity?

He might just need to pinch himself to pull him back into reality!

He paced around the room with his heart racing and his mind bombarded with many thoughts. He can't believe this. After years of training and dancing, he is finally getting an opportunity and that too a big one.

"I can't believe this! Oh. My. God." He said, currently standing on the couch like a maniac. "I got in. I got in, and Izuku Midoriya got in ONE of the biggest events in a lifetime!!" He jumped on the couch like a kid who was going through a sugar rush. He knows he probably looks stupid, but It's better to be cringey than not to enjoy a moment like this. Oh, he could not believe his astonishing luck. He is baffled, screaming internally and he would like to run around and maybe just maybe make a fool out of himself in public. I mean would you blame him? This was a big deal! A very big one. He read about this event every time it was held. He knew about their tactics and the reason why they were holding this event. There were many articles and actual websites explaining everything.

This Satin Swing Soiree event was held only once in five years. It consists of 16 dancers who are personally given invitations. The dancers are carefully selected based on their skills, flexibility, flow, and rhythm. These dancers will perform for 10 alternative days. This means they will have only one day to prepare for the next performance. These performances will be a grave challenge because every day, the dance styles will change. It will range from hip-hop to belly dancing to ballet. And to top it off these dance styles are randomly picked out.

This event serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it provides opportunities for many underrated dancers. Secondly, it exposes them to various dance styles, allowing them to quickly adapt and enhance their skills. As a result, their movements will become clearer, more polished, and visually appealing.

This is hosted by two business partners, Shōta Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada. Izuku had personally observed how they danced, and what rhythm they used for their magnificence flow. Izuku learned them all. His teacher Toshinori Yagi sculpted him out of his dry shell from middle school. In middle school, Izuku was all into studies as he didn't have a distinct future decided yet but he did dance occasionally. He did it because he could express much more in dance than he could with words. It was a phenomenon that Izuku loved to dive and drown in. He would constantly fix his flow, stretch, exercise, and overall improve his flexibility and energy. He would work on his energy as his specialty started to show in hip-hop and a few others. The one he was bad at was ballet.

He often struggled to stand straight with his toes pointed to the floor, finding it difficult to maintain his balance. He frequently returned home with various injuries.

Later, he explored a few more dance styles, including figure skating and pole dancing. Although he received criticism for the latter, he viewed it as more graceful than vulgar. He avoided movements that could be considered inappropriate; instead, his dancing was more divine and ethereal.

Ultimately, he tried every dance style—some he excelled at, some he struggled with, and some he perfected. Winning this challenge could change his life forever. He would also be able to connect with more dancers, learn from them, and become better.

Izuku paced around, running to his bedroom and dropping on his chair as he typed away at his keyboard. He needs to know at what date exactly will this event start so he can prepare in advance and tell his teacher as well. Tabs opened in his laptop, as he wrote every single detail down.

"The event starts on 30 October and will end on 19 November. 16 constants are participating; 2 personally recommended and the rest were based on their talents." He muttered as he wrote and an annoyed expression took hold on his face.

That's so unfair! Two people just got in because of a bribe. Ugh! What about those two talented dancers who were waiting for their chance? I may not know them, but this is just so unfair." He groaned as he ran a hand through his hair, sipping his coffee.

Izuku checked outside his window as he moved the curtains to the side. Seeing that it was getting already so late, Izuku decided he would take a quick walk and then get ready to order something for dinner because he still couldn't cook for living's sake or dying's. He grabbed his keys and threw on an oversized fluffy khaki-colored jacket and his flat ankle boots.

He strolled outside, popping his headphones on. A song playing in his ears.

The sky was cloudy, a comforting atmosphere settled around that made you feel like you just woke up after a long nap in the afternoon to a perfect evening. Izuku's eyes wandered to the garden where children were playing. Eri; the kid he had always known from the start was playing happily as she cheered when she won the race.

Lost in thought, he wasn't paying attention to where he was walking and bumped into someone, causing him to lose his balance and fall. Great, now this moment would haunt him forever. Every night when he went to bed, he would replay the embarrassing incident of accidentally bumping into a stranger and falling onto his butt.

His cheeks were tinted as he slowly got up to apologize. Before he could say anything, the person in front of him beat him to it.

"Uh hi, I am so sorry, I didn't notice where I was heading, it's just been a bit hectic today." The person apologized and Izuku now finally took a look at this stranger. The stranger appears to have short height, fair skin, and brown hair with brown eyes. The stranger seemed to be a bit skittish like they messed up an art piece or something.

"It's fine, I was also not paying attention to where I was heading," Izuku said while chuckling a bit as he saw the stranger starting to calm down and a small smile appeared on their face.

They both nodded as they parted ways and Izuku started walking back to his face because it was basically night and he needed to reach home to order quickly so he could eat his dinner quickly.
His Spotify playlist played more songs as he listened to them, bobbing his head to the beat.

He approached his small rented house which consisted of 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a guest room, and a living room. It was a good deal as it came semi-furnished.

He opened the burgundy door, swinging his jacket off, and hanging it on a key rack. He took off his shoes, as he went to his bedroom, and freshened up. Now he just needs to order food and he can have some sleep finally. It's already 9:00 pm.

He ordered himself Katsudon as he ate in peace when it arrived. He scrolled on the internet one last time before going to his guest room which he cleared off to make a small dance room.

He started with normal warm-ups, and a few kicks in the air so he could ensure that any of his movements won't be stiff. He gradually started stretching and he played pieces of music as he started to dance to his new choreography he tried making. It was an assignment given by Toshinori to complete a choreography by yourself in one week and then perfect it and show it to him.

His movements were supposed to match an upbeat tune; it needed to consist of energetic parts with a lot of complex steps as well as a part where his movements needed to calm down and create a beat drop using slower and simple but long-duration steps such as body waves and hand movements.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes, he finally stopped; exhausted. Sweat dripped on his face and he wanted someone to be there and tell him if his steps were looking good or not because even the mirror was not helping the poor guy. Izuku had one thing on his mind at that time and that was sleep, he would get up in the morning, and try to cook an easy breakfast which he couldn't burn down the house with.

He went to sleep as the blanket embrace swallowed him into a comforting darkness that would bring ease to his mind. Tomorrow is 28 October which means the date of the event is getting soon. He needs enough sleep to be able to perfect his moves before the event even starts.
Till then he has to prepare himself physically and mentally to be able to succeed and surpass his opponents.

Ok first chapter was mostly the introduction to things and how it would pick off, I was trying so hard to include a part where he would share the news with his best friends, but it didn't look quite right to me so I kept deleting it T^T, but I think I am happy with this chapter, many more to come :>
