Clouds. Trees. Leaves. Green. Gray. Brown. Blue. There was a vast amount of white and gray clouds of different shades, shapes, and sizes in the grayish blue serene sky. But it stopped in the middle abruptly. To clash along with the different green tree tops. With their unique colors and forms that included different greens and browns. Looking around everything was damp. Drops of water were everywhere dripping beautifully.

Some would probably say it just rained. But Annamarie Grimm would say the sky had just stopped crying, but that was just her thinking on the matter. The nature here all clashed so beautifully, just as beautiful and unique as any other place. The place that came to her mind though, was New York. Her home state, where she just came from. Where she just uprooted herself and moved on from. Because of people questioning her looks, noticing she hasn't aged. Though the place was the total opposite of the place she was at now. She still thought they were beautiful in their own way.

The nature and uniqueness were all she could see and could think about at the moment. She was sitting in the backseat of one of her closest friends' car. While the seats before her were being preoccupied by two men. Who were different in their own way but alike in some ways.

Right now though the two were bickering continuously. The two had been playfully bantering the whole trip off and on. The two men were Anna's close friends. Well more so her brothers, her family. They were the ones she grew up with.

But if you look at the three they didn't look the same in age. Being that the two men had grown older in age while Anna had stopped aging a while ago... being that she was a powerful immortal witch. She looked to be in her early twenties though she was truly in her forties.

Though the three were different and not blood related that didn't stop them from sticking together. But it did cause them to have to be careful and keep certain things a secret. So, the two men were quick to pose as Anna's stepfather and uncle to keep her safe.

Max Wilson the one who was driving; he was also the one who poses as her stepfather. While William Johnson was the one sitting in the passenger seat posing as her uncle. All three of them having come up with the story for the public. So they could stay together as a family.

"Are we there yet? " William Johnson whined to Max. For what was the tenth time during the ride. He seemed to be bored at the moment more than anything. Because when he wasn't stuck in his head, or it wasn't a serious matter... he joked around and spoke a lot.

Anna could soon hear Max take a deep breath that was filled with irritation. Seeming to be over with Will's antics, knowing that he was about to joke about a song having heard it before during the drive. Hearing them Anna looked from the window. She then turned to put her attention on the two. Watching the two of them argue again. Being it was one of her sources of entertainment during the drive.

"Man, if you ask me one more time. I'm going to come from way back when and smack the shit out of you," Max yelled with agitation as he turned to William with an agitated look. After a moment Max then turned to put his focus back on the road. Then and there Anna could tell he was done with this drive altogether. She could also feel his emotions; irritation. tiredness, but also amusement. that he was hiding very well.

"Here we go again."

Anna heard a mutter come from the seat next to her. She then felt a nudge under her hand. There next to her was a black cat with its ear flickering and tail swaying behind them. As they nudge their head under her hand trying to get her attention. The black cat was male. He went by the name of Koen. Who happened to also be Anna's familiar. Looking down, she placed a hand on his head to pet him. She then sent him a discreet nod as she continued to watch the two men in front of her begin to argue again.
