[BACK IN 2013 : MIDDLE SCHOOL]
"hey alya!" a thirteen year old benjamin de almeida calls out to the fourteen year old alya silas, awaiting her response. to his surprise, she does not reply to his words. he seems somehow stunned by her reaction. he runs up to her only to see her, suddenly, ignoring him.
"alya?! you ok there?"
"what do you want, de almeida?" alya replies, expressing her words with such an attitude. ben is taken back by this. "de almeida? i never knew we were calling each other by our last names now." alya becomes quickly annoyed and leaves the scene. ben runs after her to see what her problem is.
"what is your problem?" ben shouts to her, hoping inside that she will respond. ben is wondering in his mind why she could be ignoring her in the first place.
"you know what?! i will tell you why! it is because you are so annoying and you piss me off all the time! there, i said it! now you can go and piss off." alya hissed, rushing out of the place they argued. now filled with regret, she feels awful for saying that to him. she wished she could go back in time and erase her words from existence.
after that day, they never talked to each other ever again. heck, they did not even look at each other when they were assigned as partners or were in the same group. a lot of people were confused about that, but others did not care about the small situation. they all thought it was just a phase that they will get over soon. but to their surprise, it did not.
ever since then, both alya and ben made new friends from then. alya had now her two bestest friends in the world (haven and juliette), while ben had two good friends (brendon and veronica). it is best that they moved on from the past. that means they both do not have to deal with their problems by themselves, since they have others to support them. it can show how much they wanted to forget the past and continue with the future.
well, we can all hope that they do not get in a similar messy future. right?
