Even before and after meeting the love of her life, Sofia, Rosé, was just content with being a cool aunt to her nephews, nieces and to Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie’s kids, but there was this problem.
The problem was that Sofia loved kids and saw how sad she was when she heard about all the plans Jenlisa and Jisoo had for kids. As she knew that Rosé wasn’t into having kids, she decided to stop that idea. Seeing her sad broke Rosé’s heart. She wanted Sofia to be happy, so she thought that she would do what Sofia wanted.
It was during this time that the two were free from their activities and schedules, which meant they had a lot of time together, and Rosé thought this would be the best way to tell her wife. As the two finished eating their food and talking about stuff, Rosé then looked at her wife seriously. “Let’s have a kid,” she tells Sofia, who looks at her in shock. “I know you love kids and wanted to be a mother, and I was being selfish.” She stopped her sentence as Sofia hugged her. “No, Querida, it’s understandable if you don’t want kids, and it’s fine if you don’t want them.” Now it was Sofia’s turn to be interrupted. “No, sweetie, I’ve been thinking about it for a while now, and I actually do want to have kids with you,” she revealed. “Are you sure?” Sofia asked, and Rosé nodded softly, making Sofia smile. “Ok, let’s have a kid,” she tells Rosé, who nods, and with that, they decided to do a bit of research.
After talking to Jennie and Lisa for a bit about IVF, they went to the place where the two went so they could have their child. They went to Japan and had the procedure, and they were told about the 50/50 chance that this may work, and Rosé wondered about and hoped that Jennie and Lisa’s IVF would be successful, including hers. They just had to wait a week to know if the results were successful. After a week of waiting, Rosé was working on a song with the artist of R, D&J when she got a call from her wife and answered her, “Yes, honey?” She asked, “It worked.” Sofia said, “What?” Rosé said, wanting to hear it again, “It worked, Chae we’re going to be parents.” Sofia excitedly told her, and hearing that made Rosé jump, making other people look at her, and she immediately apologized and said that she immediately went home.
As she went in, she immediately went to her wife. “Are you sure?” she asked Sofia, who happily nodded, and she twirled her a bit while laughing and hugging as the two were happy they were going to be parents. At first, they didn’t tell anyone about it but congratulated Jisoo and Jennie as they got pregnant. A month later, they were able to tell their family and friends, and she remembered how the three hugged Sofia and talked about how their kids would be friends, and Rosé smiled upon seeing her wife happy. And now they’re getting ready for the changes that will happen.
Now, Sofia is now 4 months pregnant, and she’s been getting a lot of cravings recently. It seems that Sofia immediately changes her cravings every few minutes, but it wasn’t a challenge for Rosé, and she did not mind being woken up at night for her wife’s cravings either. She was glad that Sofia didn’t have that many mood swings and was just happy that their child inside was healthy. And of course, they revealed to the world that Sofia was pregnant before the paparazzi could do it, and it made everyone happy to see that Rosé was also going to have children too.
Then Sofia was now 5 months pregnant with their kid, and Rosé was just working on a song she thought of, and then her wife spoke from their bedroom, “Rosé.” She called out, “Yeah?” Rosé asked as she continued writing, “The baby is kicking.” Sofia replied, and with that, Rosé’s pencil broke, and she immediately stood up and went to the bedroom. “Really?” she asks as Sofia nods as she kneels down to lean on her wife’s tummy and feels a small kick, and tears start to flow as she smiles. “Hey Kid, I’m your other mom,” Rosé says happily, and Sofia softly looks at her. “I can’t wait to meet you,” she says as it kicks again, making Rosé laugh happily.
Now fast forward to 7 months pregnant, and today is also the day that they’ll learn the gender of their baby. The two did not care for the gender, only the health of their baby, but were a bit happy to learn they’d have a girl and told their friends and family. A few weeks later, they told everyone with a silly little song about them having a kid, which amused and delighted the fans. Now, the two were just waiting for the day they’d meet their little girl and started thinking of names for her.
Fast forward it again, and now Sofia is nine months pregnant, and she and Rosé were just waiting for the day to meet their first child. At that moment, Rosé and Sofia were watching TV together and talking about how cute Yong-woo and the twins are, and as Sofia stood up to get water, she immediately stopped. “Jagi, what’s wrong?” Rosé asked her as she stood up as well. “It seems my water broke,” Sofia calmly says, making Rosé panic before picking up the stuff they need and heading to the hospital. As they prepped Sofia for the ER, the doctor came out. “How’s my wife?” she asked her. The doctor looked at her. “Hello, Miss Park, don’t worry; your daughter isn’t out yet, but your wife is still in labor,” she told her. She let Rosé inside the ER and saw Sofia, who smiled upon seeing her, then went back to being in pain as she pushed again while Rosé continued to comfort her.
It has been like 4 hours, and Rosé is getting worried for Sofia, but to her and Jennie’s relief, they heard the doctor say that they saw the head of the baby, and Sofia continued till she was able to push the baby, which they gave to Rosé. “We did it, Sof,” Rosé happily said as Sofia weakly smiled, then closed her eyes. Rosé’s fear worsened when she heard her wife flatlined as the nurse took her child and the other held her back, and she was afraid of what’s happening as the doctors tried to save her. Thankfully, she woke up after a minute as they heard her heartbeat beat again, making Rosé sigh in relief, and she went to her wife. “Let her rest for a bit,” the doctor tells her as she thanks them, and she leaves the ER.
After looking at her wife, the next thing she did was call her family and friends, who immediately congratulated her and told her they’d be there, and after that, she went back to her room. “Chae, what happened?” Sofia asked as she woke up. “You died for a minute,” Rosé said with a frown, but Sofia smiled. “I still lived, didn’t I?” she said to Rosé as they kissed and hugged for a bit. Then the nurse arrived with their daughter, and they saw that she had Sofia’s eyes and lips with Rosé’s nose, and the two thought that she was adorable. Sofia then fed her, “So do we have a name?” Rosé asked. “Yeah, we agreed on Cassandra, right?” Sofia reminded Rosé, who nodded and smiled. “Hey Cassandra.” She greeted her baby happily, watching her daughter and wife while wanting to joke about breastfeeding but decided not to.
After a while, they let their family and friends enter the room, and all of them held the child one by one. Jennie and Jisoo then started planning the play date they were talking about with Sofia, who agreed, and after a moment, Rosé’s mom gave Cass back to them and left for privacy. The two looked at their daughter relishing the feeling of being a first-time parent, and they introduced their kid to the world only by hands and feet and with a heartfelt message too. And after that, they continued to babysit more with the promise of loving and protecting her. They know that parenthood ain’t easy, but they will do everything to raise her right. But now, all they can do is enjoy the moment of being first-time parents, and Rosé was happy that she got to experience being a parent.
They thought of adding another child after a few years, wanting to give Cassandra a sibling, but that’ll be the plan in the future as they’re focusing on taking care of their first kid.
