One More Day
You get off the bus
It's been another long day
You think about all the things that those damn kids say
You run up to your room
You lock the door
You fall to the floor thinking, " I just can't do this anymore!"
So you sit there crying
The tears stream down your face
Your just so tired of lying
You're tired of racing, you're tired of last place
So you stand up shaking
Make you way to your desk
You pull out a pen
Feel the shaking in your chest
You hold up the note
Stained with your tears
Tape it to your wall
Despite all your fears
Despite the thought of all your leaving behind
Without your mom, or dad, or friends in mind
You walk to the drawer like everyday before
But this time, there will be no more
You pull out your razors and bottle of pills
You wished that they would have realized that words really do kill
You drag the razors across you wrists
Holding your breath and clenching your fists
You open the bottle and pour down the pills
And all your fears are gone
You start to feel dizzy
You realize that your soon going to move on
So you close your eyes
Thoughts of pain and hurt and all you despise
Then there's yelling and pounding, fear in their tone
Before you lose your grip on the world you've always known
You hear the door burst open
They've got help on the phone
Inside, you realize that the end you wanted may not be so near
And you it all suddenly becomes so clear
It doesn't matter what you say or do
Your friends, your family will always love you
Despite all your flaws, your fears, your dreams
They see you over all the of tears and the all of screams
You realize that what those kids say is no longer important
All they say is just a bunch of blind judgement
You realize this isn't the only way
You realize that it will all be okay
So your rushed to the hospital
The recovery is long
But your heart starts to sing a much happier song
You go home, surrounded by all you love
You suddenly feel like it's all a gift from above
You realize that it always gets better
Just hold on tight, stay strong through what they say
All you need to do is hold on one more day.
