Waking up was once an easy thing for me to do, but lately I've had to drag myself out of bed.

"Dayana!!" Addison called from down stairs.

Her voice unreasonably amplified and waking up hungover didn't help the situation .

"I'm coming dude, just keep it down!" I called back, making my way to the bathroom.

I felt a cold breeze kiss my cheek as I walked in and immediately turned my head to find the source.
Upon inspection I found that my bathroom window had been left open...

'Weird' I thought to myself, but brushed it off anyway.

'Where did I leave my shampoo' I thought to myself, while searching my bathroom high and low. After finding it, I could finally take the long deserved shower I'd been yearning for.

After showering, I made my way down stairs for breakfast along with Addison's sisters, Alessandra and Natalia. In the kitchen, Addi and my brothers, Amalekite and Jairus, were waiting for us.

"Well good morning Princesses," Kite and Jai sang.

"Shhhhhh.. It's too early to be yelling guys," Nat warned. Well atleast I wasn't the only one with a hangover.

"What's for breakfast? "Lessa asked.

"Whatever you want, " Addi replied which may have been a mistake on her part as we immediately turned the kitchen into a breakfast bar, ordering left right and center.

"This is not a fast-food outlet guys! " she said sternly, causing us all to cower away and wait for our names to be called.

We sat like a couple of well behaved kids knowing all too well that once we had our food we'd go back to being rowdy unmannerd animals.

"We'll be late for school if we don't leave now guys, " Kite called from the lounge.

"Are we leaving together or individually?" I asked.

Since we each had our own cars and an SUV, we would occasionally leave together but only when none of us had any extra mural activities.

"I think we can all leave together, " Jai called from the top of the stairs.

"How did you hear me? " I asked him.

"By using those things on the side of your head called ears, Sis." he said.

I could swear that was barely audible yet he heard me. When I turned 14, my life became so much more interesting. I became faster, I could hear better, smell better and even see better.
A year later Kite went through these changes and a year after him, Jai.

I tried speaking to our parents about this and dad had told me that he would explain everything once he got home.  They never made it home that night.

Now, 3 years later, we're still here... Wondering... Missing... Abnormal...

What was wrong with us?
