More night before they use me for my blood. Before they tie me at the stake and sacrifice me to the Gods who've been angered by the fools that brought nothing upon the world other than pain and suffering. Why should I be the one to pay for their sins? Why should I be the one they all turn and hate? WHY do they choose someone who has tried their best to be as good as they can and send them into flames??
My name is...Liya. Just Liya. I had these two "amazing" friends named Toni and Niney. We got along perfectly, or so I thought. Though on one particular night, everything changed.

Toni's pov
"Are you sure about this?" Niney asks, resting her arm over her head. I sigh and walk over to a chair close by her and sit down.
"Yes, I'm sure. The time has come, and there's no other way to go about this. What better chance would we have at surviving this than sacrificing our friend closest with religion?" I say. Niney bites her lip, obviously unsure, but nods.
"I agree. I don't wanna lose my life in whatever spitural awakening is happening." She says, still a bit uptight by the idea of sacrificing our beloved friend.
"So it's set? We're sacrificing Liya?" I clarify. Niney, still hesitatent, nods yet again.
Liyas pov
"So it's set? We're sacrificing Liya?" I hear Toni say. She can't be serious, can she? I mean.. that whole conversation was just...fuck! I walk away from the room they're in and into the living room.
I run my fingers through my hair, thinking, "What should I do?" I've always believed I'm a half decent person at best, so why do they choose me? A person they're close to, a person they trust! They're gonna regret this. I send my fist flying into a wall, regretting it as soon as it makes contact with it. I recoil my hand and drop to my feet.
"Ouch..." I say, shaking off my hand as if that'll make It better. It's not too bad, the middle finger's slightly bleeding and the pointer and ring finger look to be swelling up. It's okay, though. I'll be fine. I'm sure this is nothing compared to what those two will do to me.
