Chapter 5- Why would an alpha be confused?

Asher's POV:

What was happening to me? Why can't I get that girl out of my head?

I keep remembering her beautiful crimson red eyes that locked with mine. The wonderful scent of her deep jet black hair still unwavering from my senses.

My wolf has been suspiciously quiet lately, it was unlike his grumpy ass.

I'm an Alpha King, the most superior out of everyone, especially werewolves. Yet, I'm here thinking about a human girl. My heart skipped a beat whenever I remembered the way she looked at me with those big-doe eyes of hers. She was small, like I could pick her up with only a hand and it would weigh like nothing.

I groaned in frustration in my office, sinking into my chair. I stared up at the ceiling, looking at the golden chandelier that shined brightly. It would've annoyed me by now of how bright it was, but it reminded me of her..

How brightly she was shining.

I felt my cheeks warm up, clicking my tongue in annoyance. Why the hell am I acting like a high-school girl that just had eye contact with her crush?

I cringed at the thought, okay there's definitely something wrong with me.

Then I heard a knock on my office door, "Enter," I commanded.

"Alpha, Ms. Rosal is waiting for you. Your stay in the hotel before the photoshoot is today." Ethan, my beta and also my best buddy since childhood had informed me of my stay at that stupid hotel.

I was the one judging the photoshoot for their advertisements, so technically I needed to be there. I didn't know why they couldn't just pick another alpha out, it just had to be me.

"A limo is waiting for you outside, your bags are already packed." Ethan added in.

"Do I have to do this, dude? You guys can just get another alpha, I have more important things to do." I deadpanned.

"Yes, and no. You're the highest ranked in all the alphas, and Ms. Rosal had made it clear she wanted you to be the one to do this for you have the most authority and rights." He replied, "Yeah, it's stupid. But hey, maybe if you go out more often other than business places maybe you'll finally meet your mate there, pal."

Well, he did have a point. Just the thought of being able to stare into my soulmates red, crimson..Wait, what the actually hell? I didn't even know what eye color my soulmate had, yet I'm here daydreaming of it being red.

Which reminds me of that girl earlier, I groan in frustration again as I felt my cheeks burning up.

Ethan took notice to this, raising his eyebrow in suspicion. "You've been acting strange these past few days, what's up?" Ethan asks, it wasn't with concern though more like amusement.

"It's nothing." I lied, already knowing he'll know I am lying. "Come on, Alpha Asher." He mocked playfully, "We've been through our ups and downs, why are you hiding things from me only now?" He questioned, and if I don't answer his question, he'll probably keep prying onto me.

I sighed, "I met..this girl." And just before I could finish my sentence he was SAT on the guest seat eating..popcorn? Where in the redmoon pack did he get that popcorn?

"Continue on bro, nothing to see here." He said while continuing to chew on his out-of-nowhere popcorn.

I rolled my eyes playfully, even if I was the Alpha king, I just gotta love the dude. If it were anyone else, I'd probably have their heads by now.

"I don't know, man. I keep thinking about her, it was like a pull towards her. I just...can't decipher what this feeling is.." I traced off into my own world, what was this feeling?
