The lavish wedding hall sparkled with
lights, flowers, and guests, a scene full of joy and celebration. Kaviya stood at the mandap, dressed in a stunning red bridal lehenga. Her heart, however, felt heavy under the weight of unspoken truths and suppressed emotions. She glanced down at her henna-covered hands, memories swirling in her mind — the night she had spent with Rudra Raghuwanshi eight years ago. The night that changed everything for her, but one she had buried deep in her heart.Suddenly, the heavy doors of the hall flew open with a loud bang, silencing the soft hum of the wedding rituals. All heads turned towards the entrance, gasps spreading across the room as Rudra Raghuwanshi stormed inside. Tall, broad-shouldered, with an aura of undeniable authority, Rudra looked like a man on a mission — a dangerous one.
His dark, stormy eyes locked onto Kaviya. There was rage in them, but also something deeper — betrayal, pain, and longing. She froze where she stood, her heart thudding wildly against her ribcage. She knew this moment was inevitable, yet she had hoped it would never come.
Without a word, Rudra marched to the mandap, ignoring the stunned groom and the shocked relatives. Kaviya whispered his name, but it was too late. In one swift move, Rudra bent down and hoisted her over his shoulder.
"No!" Kaviya protested, but her voice was drowned out by the collective gasps and murmurs of the crowd.
“Put her down!” The groom’s father roared, but Rudra didn’t even glance his way.
“This wedding is over,” Rudra declared coldly, carrying Kaviya out of the hall as if she weighed nothing.
"Please stop!" Kaviya squirmed in his iron grip, but Rudra was like a storm — unstoppable and fierce.
He made his way through the chaos, carrying Kaviya to his car waiting outside. Throwing the door open, he placed her inside with a mix of anger and desperation. As soon as he climbed in, he slammed the door shut and drove off at a maddening speed.
The mansion was silent, its high walls casting eerie shadows in the dim moonlight. Rudra dragged Kaviya inside and slammed the door behind him. His hands were trembling, but not with fear — with fury and frustration. Kaviya stood by the entrance, her breath ragged, heart pounding in her chest.
"Why?" Rudra demanded, his voice low but filled with dangerous intensity. He grabbed her by the shoulders, his touch firm and desperate. "Why didn’t you tell me it was you that night?"
Kaviya’s lips quivered, but she said nothing. His gaze burned into her, demanding answers.
"You knew all along, didn’t you?" Rudra continued, his fingers tightening around her arms. "All these years, Kaviya. You knew it was me, and you said nothing."
Tears welled up in Kaviya’s eyes. "I loved you, Rudra," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I have always loved you. But you never looked at me that way. I was just someone in the background for you, someone you barely noticed."
Rudra’s jaw clenched. "That night—" He stopped, swallowing hard, his emotions a mess. "I looked for you everywhere, Kaviya. For eight years! I was going mad searching for you. And all this time, you were right beside me."
