Notes: Yeah yeah, I should be working on the Chainsaw Man fic, but I think I need something refreshing before I continue with that.

So, if you all don't mind, I'm going to write this thing that came to me in a single night.

I really like Feixiao; she's become one of my favorite characters in Honkai Star Rail. I hope I can get her Light Cone on her rerun, but for now, I'm getting ready to pull for Aventurine's E2 and Fu Xuan.

Just to clarify, this can be considered an alternate universe or set long before the Astral Express arrives at Xianzhou. But for the sake of the plot, Lingsha is already working with the Alchemy Commission, although she hasn't met Feixiao yet-you'll see why.

Anyway, I won't bother you anymore, so if you're interested, enjoy this!

P.S. The original male character is annoyingly dense.

Aaaah, Xianzhou, the only place in the universe where nothing can possi-blye go wrong.

The Cloud Knights would give their lives to protect its inhabitants, from the long-lived races like the native Xianzhou and the Vidyadhara, to the occasional tourists the ship received. Every Cloud Knight was led by one of the seven Arbiter-Generals under the Reignbow Arbiter, a position that wasn't earned easily. You'd need at least 100 years of battlefield experience as a Cloud Knight, along with numerous heroic deeds, just to be considered for the role by the Marshal. The job requirements here were truly on another level.

Maybe that's why others preferred to aim for less demanding jobs... Ones that definitely didn't promise a future under Mara's struck

That's why Jade thought that being a doctor in the Alchemy Commission didn't sound like a bad idea at first. In fact, the first few months were fairly calm. But then the war against the Abundance's abominations began to intensify, and the number of wounded arriving at Xianzhou Loufu's Alchemy Commission rose significantly. Sometimes, patients had to be left outside on stretchers because there simply wasn't enough space inside the buildings.

Most people might think that receiving treatment out in the open is a grim sign of how ugly the war has become out there, but others can still find amusement, even in things like this.

"Do u like stars?"

"Shut up, Feixiao, you're bleeding out!"

"But do u like stars?"

Jade let out an exasperated sigh. "Ya, theyre cool. Now stay still!" He refocused on the wound in the abdomen of the Yaoqing General of Xianzhou.

At first glance, it seemed she'd been stabbed with a fairly thick sword-not quite large enough to be considered a broadsword, but still substantial. Somehow, it had pierced her abdomen, narrowly missing vital organs, which was the only reason Feixiao could still remain conscious.

If it were anyone else, they'd be writhing in agony or, at best, on the verge of losing consciousness. But Feixiao was... an odd one. Instead of grimacing in pain, she simply smiled contentedly. Her smiles often bordered on what many would call arrogance or pride, but those who knew her well understood that it was just an extra dash of her charm. Deep down, she was an incredibly kind person.
