Lost in Wonderland

*The beginning*

Alice realised that she was about to hit the ground so she shut her eyes closed and started preparing for the hit.
But instead of feeling pain from falling down a hole Alice felt like someone caught her in their arms.

It was Jack the man from before the one whom Alice ditched after he offered help. Only to fall back right into his arms. He had his signature smile on his face as he looked down at her in his arms.

"My my that was quite a looonnng fall"

Jack said.

Alice was shocked how did she fell into his arms? And why him of all people??

"Ja-"

"Did you do it on purpose?"

Jack asked her before she could even say his name properly as he continues talking

"Oh I get it now! You regretted not taking my help and now you didn't know
How to ask me again so-"

"NO!!"

Alice shouted trying to explain herself

"I didn't do anything on purpose!
I don't even know how I got here.
In your arms!
And what are you doing here anyways?"

Alice asked Jack who was still holding in his arms. Wasn't she heavy? Alice thought. At how Jack was holding her like her wait was the same as a pillow.

"Oh me?
Well I was just on my lonely walk
Since I had no one to accompany me"

Jack said with a fake hit of sadness referring to Alice not taking his help and not coming with him he was trying to make her feel sorry for him so she'll give in and take his help

"And"

Jack continues

"And suddenly you fell right into
my arms
...
Why are you looking at me like that?
You think I was just standing here
Waiting for you to fall out of the
Sky or something?"

Jack said since Alice was giving him a look like she didn't believe a word he said. And in fact he was just standing there waiting for Alice to fall out of the hole because he knew she would but there was no way he was going to admit that so he lied.

"Um No I never said that but
Could you please put me down first?"

Alice asked

"Oh yes of course sweetheart"

Jack replied and then he gantly let go of her. Alice took a few steps back creating some distance between them.

"So Alice I know you already gave me your answer but I'II ask again
Are you sure you really don't want my help?
I mean i think even the forest wants you to take my help
And why would it have dropped you
On top of me if not?"

Jack said using the forest's name to get what he wanted but the truth was that the forest had nothing to do with it. Jack was the one who was purposefully standing under where Alice was going to end up and Alice seemed to fall for it all but still she did not give in she still didn't trust him given what he was wearing.
