"Every step I take is a step closer to you."

Walking down an unfamiliar path, Haejin made her way to her new university with her best friend's eunchae who is now talking about their first year. "I heard there's a professor who's really bitchy. I hope I don't get him in any of my classes."

"Also there's going to be a Christmas Eve party or something? Apparently this school is known for its party's so this shit is on. Are you gonna go Haejin?"

I looked at eunchae seeing the desperation behind her eyes. I had already heard of this party though and I've been considering it. "Why not. I've heard of the party too and I know I'm not much of a partier but it sounds fun enough?"

"Fun enough?" Eunchae said looking at me in disbelief. "These parties are flipping awesomesauce! And what if you find someone?" She poked my arm wiggling her eyebrows at me teasingly.

"No thanks. I like watching you and sangmin and I choose not to participate in any relationships!" I stated proudly and putting my hands on my hips smiling. I looked over at eunchae is judging me and my whole existence.

"Yeah...no girl. I mean it's time to find you someone! Otherwise you're going to die alone." She joked but still was serious. I knew she was serious.

"I'm not going to die alone. I don't want somebody!" I picked up my paste and started to run away smiling. "Haejin! Please no running!"

After a few more minutes of running we made it to campus. The students all heading in, the gates flushed in roses my favorite. The cherry blossoms and other flowers surrounding the school. Me and eunchae slowed down and went back to walking.

"I told you not to run!" She whined grabbing my arm and resting her head on my shoulder and catching her breath as we walked into the gates.

"Damn it's pretty here." Eunchae spoke admiring the scenery just as I am doing.

I stopped and brought my phone out and walking over to some of the roses and taking photos. Eunchae came over and watched over my shoulder. I showed her the photos and she agreed of how beautiful they were. "Already of to a good start right!" Euchae exclaimed putting her hands around my waist and smiling. I patted her hands and nodded smiling.

I've always loved roses, the smell, the way they look. Everything. Ever since I was a child I've always had an admiration for them.

me and eunchae made our way into the building and into the main hall seeing all the other freshman's. We kept walking and made our way into one of the lecture halls along with many others who are also starting their year here.

As I was waiting to go up and take a seat with eunchae I looked up and saw a group of boys also waiting to go upstairs for seats.  One of them standing closest to me caught my eye. He was tall and had deep sharp like eyes. We met eyes for a second but eunchae pulled me with her to a seat.

I looked up to see that boy again but I couldn't see him in sight so I gave up and focused on the headmaster who was getting ready to take his speech.

After all the speeches and so what, everyone stood up and headed to their first lectures. I wasn't with eunchae but I had two other close friends with me. We made our way into the lecture hall and took our seats.

"So haejin-ah, you going to the party?" Kyujin turned her to me and so did sullyoon. "Oh yeah I was planning on going not for long tho."

"That's different." Sullyoon chuckled. "You're not much of a partier. What made you come this time?"

"Well I heard the party's here are great and I don't want to be stuck at home alone on Christmas Eve." I smiled replying to them.

"Well it's great you're coming!" Kyujin exclaimed smiling.

We kept on talking throughout the time everyone was still finding their classes. I listened in on Kyujin and sullyoon having their conversation nodding along with them. My eye caught sight of him again.

The guy who I saw earlier with his friends talking and walking into the same lecture hall as me. He was the tallest and had his hair dyed blonde so he stood out of the other two guys with him. Unlike him they were shorter one with amber sharp fox eyes. And the other with cat like visuals and a dimple on his cheek.

Our eyes locked once again for a few seconds before I looked away and engaged in the conversation that kyujin and sullyoon were having together embarrassed about how I got caught staring. Him and his friends walked to their seat and talked amongst themselves.

After the first lecture the teacher welcomed everyone to the university and dismissed us. I headed out with sullyoon and kyujin and talked to them. I saw him again with his friends nearby this time with more guys who look older who I assumed to be seniors. Kyujin noticed and looked at him and then me. "Did you have an interest in him?"

"What. No!" I denied. For sure I haven't got a small admiration for him right? It's only the first day. "Yeah, whatever you say. Don't get to much of a crush on him though."

"What why?" Sullyoon spoke up confused. "He's just not good. I had a friend that dated him and let's just say...he's not good," Kyujin spoke glancing at him before continuing. "Turns out he was talking to other girls while in a relationship. And then when she got anywhere near a guy he'd freak, or sometimes he'd be clingy or some shit, so clingy he wouldn't let her out of his sight then the next day he'd be avoiding her and being cold."

Surely that's not true right? Surely he's not like that and it's just a rumor. Why do I care anyway..

"Oh damn." Sullyoon spoke giving him a dirty look from afar. I nodded and kept quiet. "I wasn't growing an interest in him anyway I was just looking."

"Good. I don't want you getting hurt or anything."
