As the first light of dawn met the horizon, Rimuru felt panic welling up inside him. He scanned the empty platform, looking desperately for the Bullhead bound for Beacon Academy, his one shot at becoming a Huntsman. The only people around were adults rushing by, oblivious to his struggle. Trying to calm down, he took a deep breath and sank onto a bench nearby.
Rimuru: "Just great... how am I supposed to get to Beacon if I can't even find the Bullhead?"
He sighed in frustration, barely noticing the presence of someone sitting next to him until he heard a soft thud, like the sound of a book closing. Rimuru looked up, ready to apologize, and froze. Sitting beside him was a beautiful girl dressed in black, a ribbon tied atop her head. Her eyes were sharp yet calm, assessing him with a quiet curiosity.
Rimuru: "Oh—sorry if I bothered you. I'm just... kind of lost."???: "It's fine," she replied, her voice smooth but guarded. "You don't seem like you're from around here."
Rimuru felt a smile tug at his lips, though his earlier panic lingered.
Rimuru: "You wouldn’t happen to know where the Bullhead to Beacon is, would you?"
The girl’s lips quirked in a small smile.
???: "You're in the right place. It hasn’t arrived yet, so you’re just early."
Rimuru’s shoulders sagged in relief, his worry slipping away.
Rimuru: "Thank goodness... I thought I was going to miss my chance to get into Beacon."
She watched him closely, her gaze lingering on the mask he wore. Suddenly, her expression shifted, suspicion flaring in her eyes as her hand drifted toward the hilt of her weapon.
Rimuru: "It’s going to be nice, you know, finally going to a school with people."
The girl’s eyes narrowed, tension radiating from her.
???: "You're White Fang, aren’t you?"
Before Rimuru could respond, she sprang into action, her ribbon-wrapped blade whipping toward him in a blur. But he moved swiftly, sidestepping her attack with ease. In one fluid motion, he caught her arm and pinned her gently, leaning close to speak.
Rimuru: "Whoa, easy there! I’m not here to fight."
The girl struggled, glaring up at him.
???: "Then why are you wearing a White Fang mask?"
Rimuru sighed, loosening his grip and letting her stand as he held up his mask.
Rimuru: "This isn’t White Fang. It’s a keepsake from my family. I’m just here to join Beacon and maybe make a few friends along the way."
He pulled off his mask entirely, revealing his face. In the soft light of dawn, his appearance took on an almost ethereal quality: long, ice-blue hair shimmered as if woven from moonlight, cascading down his back in soft waves. His right eye was a striking gold, deep and radiant, as if it could see into the very soul. His left eye, a glowing silver, hinted at a mysterious power, the mark of the Silver-Eyed Warriors. His delicate features—high cheekbones, smooth jawline, and fair, luminous skin—made him look more like a divine spirit than a young Huntsman-in-training.
