The betrayal

You were stuck in place. Not speaking a word out loud. Just complete painful silence. Your mind was plagued by painful flashbacks. You almost felt tormented by the racing thoughts and images replaying in your mind.

The look in his eyes when he realized it was you, the way he couldn't break eye contact with you, the way he stared at you made you grow chills on your skin. Just remembering was chilling alone.

Looking into his eyes felt like diving into the sea, the feeling was so consuming you could feel yourself sink into his ocean. Sinking to the bottom. The feeling was paralyzing and nostalgic all at once.

You know that look all too well. You used to swim in those teal eyes once upon a time. When those eyes were still yours to look into.

Now those eyes stared into hers, into her skin. He probably laughs at the sound of her laugh the way he did with you. He probably touched every crevice of her body the way he did with yours. And he did it right in front of you, you saw it with your own eyes, the way he touched her like she was all his to touch.

You felt disgusted by your jealousy, you shouldnt feel jealous but you do. Eren was an open wound that was never treated. You never really healed from him, you just accepted you could never be with him.

It's ironic how all this time you told everyone that  "I'll believe it when i see it with my own eyes." And now that you have, you cant even move or react.

It's funny how life works like that. The way it manipulates your own words against you. Manipulating the people in your life to do you wrong in the end. The way it manifests your biggest fears.

As your deep in thought you could feel yourself be pulled back into reality by the voice of your sister."Y/n" She says. "Y/n" She says again. "Y/n hello?" She says repeatedly.

You turn to look at her. All in a few seconds you pull yourself together and remember why you're mad at her. "Stay away from me." You try to walk away but Tessa grabs you by the arm. "Y/n please let me explain."

You look down at her hand on your arm, your face morphs into a disgusted expression. Her touch felt disgusting, no longer bringing you comfort. "Dont touch me." You say harashly. While yanking your arm out of her grasp.

You dont let yourself react. You want to stay calm and collected. You want to leave this situation without talking to her again. You wont let yourself lose yourself. Not again, not over him.

She tries to grab your arm again as you walked away from her. She was like a child begging for attention. She almost resembled the child she was. "Y/n please dont leave!" She said pleading.

Once you had enough of the arm pulling you turn around and face her. After all you were a little curious to what she had to say. So why not hear her out, out of curiosity? Whats the worst that could happen? She comes up with more excuses or lies?

You sigh and cross your arms. I have to stay calm. Stay level headed. Im just curious. "Okay, go ahead." She lets out a breath, almost preparing herself for what she had to say. "Okay, i dont want to fight. Just hear me out." She says. You just give her a blank stare. Patiently waiting for what she had to say "Alright I get it." You say. "Can you just get to the excuses already?"
