♪ — June of 1982
A two year old moon was watching morning cartoons with her cousins.
Katherine left the kitchen after turning off the lights.
"Moonlight dear, come on", said katherine.
Moon climbed off the couch and made her way to her grandmother.
"Dada said to give you a bath", said katherine and made her way to the bathroom, moon in her arms.
Janet, latoya, and rebbie followed their mother.
"Where is michael?", asked Janet.
"At the studio with quincy", replied katherine and entered the bathroom, she turned on the lights.
Latoya started the bath.
"I'll go get the stereo", said Janet and left the bathroom.
"Do you want to listen to music?", asked katherine.
Moon nodded.
"All done, get in sweetie", said katherine.
Moon giggled and got in the bathtub.
Moon played with the bath foam.
Janet came back with the stereo and had a few cassettes.
Janet put the first one in the stereo and closed it.
Latoya put foam on the sides of moon's face, she giggled.
Janet stared at her sister.
Moon giggled.
"What? Moon loves my laugh", said latoya.
"Keep telling yourself that", said Janet.
Katherine applied a small amount of shampoo on moon's hair and massaged gently.
"Why isn't the song playing?", asked rebbie.
"Hit the road Jack and don't you come back No more, no more, no more, no more Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more What you say? Hit the road Jack and don't you come back No more, no more, no more, no more Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more"
"Oh, I love this song, ray charles", said katherine.
"Old woman, old woman, don't treat me so mean You're the meanest old woman that I've ever seen I guess if you said so I'll have to pack my things and go (that's right)"

"Hit the road Jack and don't you come back No more, no more, no more, no more Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more", sang katherine, Janet, latoya, and rebbie at the same time.
Moon splashed the water and giggled.
"Now baby, listen baby, don't ya treat me this way 'Cause I'll be back on my feet some day (Don't care if you do 'cause it's understood) (You ain't got no money, you just ain't no good) Well, I guess if you say so I'll have to pack my things and go (that's right)"

Moon clapped and giggled.
Katherine wrapped moon with a towel and picked her up.
