・・・・・1. RECURRING NIGHTMARES

Koios looked at the demigod in front of him, her knees pulled to her chest as she sat on the chair in front of his desk, still in her pajamas. It was no sight to greed a god, but Koios had made it his job to show his students that he cared, always. So when Manami showed up, woken from her sleep by yet another nightmare, he had not hesitated to invite her into his office for a talk.

''What happened?'' he asked her softly. Manami took a small breath, fiddling with a small thread on her pants, avoiding the eyes of the god completely. ''Same as always'' she mumbled, frowning to herself as she shook her head. It felt silly to be that terrified of nightmares, but she could not help it. Any time she would close her eyes she was taunted by the faces of monsters. "I'm alone-'' ''You are never alone, Manami.'' She hardens her gaze as tears fill her eyes. ''In there, I am always alone.''

Koios let his gaze soften, he felt for the demigod. She was in the safest place she could be and yet, every night she felt terrified. Manami finally looked up at him ''It starts okay, it's peaceful. After a while it gets colder, darker.'' she shivers slightly as she recalls the nightmare. ''Then it shows up'' Koios nods, frowning at her words. ''What exactly is it?'' Manami lets out a small breath.

''It has wings and claws. it's eyes are completely white'' Manami closes her eyes in hopes of recalling more details. ''Fangs, but it can talk. It taunts me''

''Manami?'' Koios asks to gain her attention. Manami opens her eyes again and nods, looking at him. ''You are safe. So long as you are on the grounds of this college you are safe'' Manami stares at him, her shoulders slumping slightly. ''I don't feel safe'' She whispered softly, scared of offending the god in front of her. Koios had worked so hard to make the college a safe place and to collect all known demigods to assure their survival. Hearing the unsafe feeling Manami experienced while on his grounds made him feel like he had failed.

''What can I do?'' He asked softly. Manami releases a slow breath, placing her feet back on the ground and straightening her back. ''I don't know. I don't think you can help me with this one, headmaster.'' Koios sends her a small glance and releases a slow breath. ''If there is anything I can, let me know'' Manami smiles softly and nods. ''I will. Thank you, headmaster Koios'' she stands up from the chair, walking to the door. ''Manami?'' She turns at the mention of her name. ''It will be okay'' She sends him a polite smile and nods, before walking out and back to the stairway.
