CHAPTER ONE!
gracie was on her way to her favorite café in los angeles, a small, cozy spot tucked between two larger buildings. the sun filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the sidewalk as she took a moment to enjoy the crisp morning air. modeling for victoria's secret had its perks, but sometimes the hustle and bustle of the industry left her feeling overwhelmed. a good cup of coffee and some time with friends was exactly what she needed.
as she approached the café, her phone buzzed with a message from alina.
can you believe the lineup for next week's show? we need to talk about it!
gracie smiled, typing a quick response.
can't wait! i'm grabbing coffee now. see you soon!
pushing the door open, she was greeted by the familiar scent of freshly brewed coffee. the café was relatively quiet, with only a few patrons scattered around. she ordered her usual—a caramel macchiato—and found a seat by the window, her mind still buzzing with thoughts of her upcoming projects.
as she took a sip of her coffee, her eyes wandered around the café. that's when she noticed a tall guy with dark hair sitting alone at a table across the room, looking slightly lost as he scrolled through his phone. he was wearing a casual t-shirt and jeans, and despite the slight frown on his face, he had an approachable vibe about him.
gracie was curious. she had never seen him around before. deciding it wouldn't hurt to say hi, she grabbed her drink and made her way over.
"hey, are you new in town?" she asked, flashing a friendly smile.
he looked up, surprised but pleased. "yeah, actually! just moved to la for a movie," he said, his expression shifting to one of interest. "i'm drew."
"gracie," she replied, extending her hand for a shake. "what movie are you working on?"
"i cant say just yet," he said, a hint of pride in his voice. "but, i recently just wrapped filming for outer banks last year, so this is a bit of a change of pace for me."
