Eleanor
When Eleanor when to her room that night, she did something she hadn't done in two years.
She let out her hair, took a handful of fishing lures she had found in the bottom of her jewelry box, and tied them in randomly. She snuck into her uncles' room and took one of his dress shirts and a tie. She put on the only pair of torn pants that she had. She tied a scarf around each of her wrists.
When she looked in the mirror, a girl of the past stared back at her.
She looked ridiculous. What had she been thinking, dressing like this? It's no wonder everyone hated her.
And yet, in some strange way, she thought that she looked better than she had in two years.
Park
"I'll come back. Tomorrow. One... one last time."
That was what she had said.
But he couldn't let that be the truth.
