Chapter 4

With the world forgetting about what happened with the soldiers in Kashmir after they found another sensational news, a new Commissioner took charge. His name was Abdul Wahab. He was welcomed to Sakeeb -Al Hassan's party for the usual meet and greet he organises for every police officer and politicians. It was Sakeeb's way of showing his strength to others.

INT. SAKEEB -AL HASSAN'S HOUSE -NIGHT

The house is decorated with lights. People from news, police force and politics are attending this party. Missiaha is helping Rumaniya organise the dining table. Sakeeb -Al Hassan is sitting on his rocking chair. In front of him, the DGP, ACP and Mustaq are sitting.

Sakeeb -Al Hassan
"It's really sad, what happened with our Indian soldiers."

Sakeeb -Al Hassan cont'd
"Incidents like this are putting Kashmir in a bad spot on front of the world."

Mustaq
"Yeah. It directly affects the development."

Mustaq cont'd
"DGP sir, your force needs to be more vigilant."

DGP nods.

Commissioner Abdul Wahab enters the room. He salutes DGP and Mustaq.

DGP gets up and introduces Wahab to Sakeeb -Al Hassan.

DGP
"This is our new commissioner. Abdul Wahab."

Sakeeb -Al Hassan sticks out his hand for a shake hand. Abdul gives a shake hand to Sakeeb but, before leaving his hand, he pulls him up from his chair.

Abdul Wahab (Whispers)
"I'm here to change what's need to be changed."

Sakeeb -Al Hassan (laughs)
"Everyone dreams to be the one who brings the change. But, it's Kashmir and it has rules of its own."

Abdul Wahab
"Well... It's a new place for me. So, let's see if it can adjust with my way."

Sakeeb -Al Hassan
"New place and new people officer. Make sure you choose the right side."

Mustaq laughs to lighten the mood.

Mustaq
"Let's have dinner. I have a meeting to attend tomorrow."

Sakeeb -Al Hassan nods. He walks in front with Mustaq.

DGP and Wahab walks together. DGP puts his hand over Wahab's shoulder.

DGP
"Do what's necessary. You have my support."

Abdul Wahab nods.

Abdul Wahab didn't waste any time. On the forest week of his joining, he took over the case of Kathua blast. The police officers had found a cell phone from the attack spot, which they didn't include in their mahazar.

INT. COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE - MORNING

Abdul Wahab calls in the investigating officer for an explanation for excluding the cell phone from the mahazar.

CI. GURDEEP SINGH comes to the cabin. He sits on front of Abdul Wahab.

Abdul Wahab
"Gurdeep. You investigated this case and closed it saying it was AL-AMANIYAT."

CI. Gurdeep
"Yes sir."

Abdul Wahab
"Then why didn't you arrest anyone? Not a single arrest was registered. There should be someone from the inside helping them."

CI. Gurdeep
"There is. But, what can a CI do ? What can you do sir?"

CI. Gurdeep cont'd
"People like Mustaq and Sakeeb are behind this. Can you arrest them?"
