Am I the villain? (Megatron x reader)

17. Minor technical difficulties

Once I awoke I noticed that there was a lot more space on the berth, I opened my eyes and saw that Megatron was already gone. Probably working. I groggily got up and went to the control room, where Megatron would most probably be, and damn I was right.

"We have suffered critical damage to all major systems, Lord Megatron." While Dreadwing was giving us the damage report, I sneakily got up to Megatron and trailed my hand behind his back. He was clearly caught off guard since I felt him flinch slightly, but relaxed after a moment. "It will be some time before we get the ship airborne." Dreadwing finished. "Soundwave." Once Megatron called his name, he showed us video footage of some bot cannonballing into the power core. He then zoomed in on the bot, and cleared the image, and I immediately recognized the bot.

"Bulkhead? What was he doing here?" I muttered more to myself than anyone. "They will move quickly to exploit any perceived weakness." I heard Knockout in the background but I ignored it as I walked closer to Soundwave. "Where's Nightlight?" He then showed me footage of her sleeping in her makeshift bed on his desk in his room. I chuckled. "She's such a sleepyhead, can't blame her, I was one myself." He then showed me some emoticons, to be precise- "=⁠_⁠= Zz ⊘" and I sighed. "Soundwave. Don't make me go to your room and lift up that visor to see if you're sleeping." He immediately got defensive and showed some other emoticons. "=⁠_⁠= Zz ✓" I shaked my head. "You're such a menace..." He then showed an evil grinning emoticon. "Take care of my daughter, or you won't have more than your voice." He then showed a saluting emoticon before I walked away.

I headed to Soundwave's quarters to get Nightlight. Once I entered I found her still asleep, I can tell Soundwave took good care of her since there was even a plushie next to her, a plushie of a round black cat, cute. Suddenly I felt an intense feeling of power, and I noticed Soundwave's monitor turning a deep red, and it started scrolling though files by itself. It looks like it woke Nightlight up, too. "Mom, why are your eyes purple?" "Purple? What do you mea-" I realized, and sighed. "And why do I feel more energetic than usual? This is weird, and I don't like it!" I realized that the dark energon affects her also, maybe that could be useful in the future... "Don't worry." I turned into a human and sat on the bed next to her. "The reason you feel weird and energetic is because of dark energon. You see, daddy and mommy both have that blood, and it seems like it passed onto you also." She thought for a moment. "Cool! What can I do with it?" "Well... Not much, it just boosts your strength." "Well it's not that cool now..." "It is cool, want me to tell you a story about it?" "Yeah!" "You see, I had this necklace, which is made out of dark energon." I got it out from my pocket and showed it to her. "One day, a volcano full of dark energon erupted, and it made me into a Cybertronian." She listened intently and watched in glee. "Can it do that to me too?" "Well have to see." I booped her nose, and she chuckled. "But you're young, we don't know how your body will take it. And we don't want to experiment, so enjoy life while you can." I smiled. "Come, we need to meet up with Megatron at the control center." I transformed back into a Cybertronian and picked up Nightlight, holding her firmly.

When we entered I saw everyone already there. "My own vessel dares to address me in threatening tones?!" I heard Megatron at... Whatever he was yelling at. "So, what did I miss?" I walked closer to them. "Megatron decided to infuse Dark energon into teh ship, and now we can't control it." Knockout crossed his arms as he explained to me. "I can tell which substance you used." I rolled my eyes.

I heard beeping on a monitor and Soundwave pointed it out. Knockout walked towards it to get a better look. "It also seems to be doing a better job of decoding the project Iacon database than we were. It's already deciphered a new set of coordinates." Then Sounwave showed the coordinates on his visor. "And judging by our current course, that is precisely where the ship is headed." I heard Dreadwing. "I am confused." I looked down as Nightlight whispered to me. "The ship gained consciousness and was able to find the place where an old relic is." "Oh, okay." She gave me a thumbs up before looked back at them.
