- Introduction

Ashlyn looked at the clock as she waited for the teacher to come into the class. "It's already late, where's the teacher?" She asked herself as she looked at the door. Then, two familiar kids entered the classroom.

The two twins entered the class, the two of them running, a boy entered the class and apologised "Sorry we're late!" And his twin said "please don't mark us tardy!", both of them stopped when they realised the teacher isn't there yet. "Bro, they aren't here yet." The boy said and sighed as he held his bag "we still have a chance!" The girl said and panted as she held the door..

"A chance?" Someone said behind them, he put a hand on the twins shoulders as they turned back slowly. "Are two of my students already late on the first day of school?" The teacher asked, when the twins turned back the teacher smiled and chuckled "just kidding!' he smiled as he looked at them. "A class rule is If we're both late and you get here before me, your safe-" the teacher was about to continue, when he noticed the boys shoes are missing. "Where's your shoe?" He asked as he looked down at his feet.

"You should, fine that after class.." the teacher said and smiled awkwardly, the boy nodded and said "yes sir." Before going to their seats.
Then, two familiar guys entered the class.. "oh shoot." She thought to herself as she looked at the two boys and the teacher "Go ahead and find which desk has your name on it and take a seat." The teacher smiled at the boys and walked to his desk, Ashlyn hid her face as she realised who it was "no way in hell! Why is he here??" She thought to herself, on the other hand Aiden saw her and his face immediately brightened up. "Sorry I'm late everyone. — These two are new to the school, so make sure to give them a warm welcome." The teacher said as he pointed at two of the boys. "You guys can take a seat as well." The teacher said and looked at the boys, Aiden who has a smile plastered on his this whole time nodded and pulled Ben with him. Both of them are sitting on their seats now.

The teacher clapped his hand and smiled as he looked at the classroom in front of him "let's begin with introductions, shall we? We'll go in alphabetical order." He smiled and looked at everyone in the room. Ashlyn looked away from Aiden "is it too late to request a class change?" She thought to herself as Aiden kept staring at her.

"When it's your turn, state your first and last name and say something about yourself. — as an example, I'll start us off." The teacher smiled and took a blue marker , he went to the whiteboard and wrote his name on it, "My name is Thomas Walter, and this is my first time teaching my own class. — I look forward to being with you all." He smiled and pointed at the whiteboard, which has his name on it.

Ashlyn stood up as her name started with an A, she looked down, avoiding eye contact with everyone and said "Ashlyn banner, I like dogs." Quickly, she sighed and thought to herself "are introductions really necessary? I want to sit back down." She thought and sighed. "I'm Aiden Clark, I like bungee jumping, skydiving, rock climbing, racing, water skiing oh an-" Aiden introduced himself, he likes a lot of stuffs, how did he even remember those??

Ben stayed quiet, he was asleep. He had no intention or interest in doing this thing anyways. "Hello, i-the-uh... Logan fields. I mean, I'm Logan... I um, I enjoy astrology." Logan said shyly, Ashlyn almost cracked at his stuttering, Ashlyn knows he has social anxiety, but she still finds it kinda funny and cute when he stutters like that. "I'm Taylor hernández! I'm in the mechanics club. Come say hi if you get the chance." Taylor, waved at all of them she's quite confident, it's cute in a platonic way.

"I'm Tyler hernández, yes, we're twins. I'm in the baseball club." Tyler said, uninterested in this whole introduction thing. "Alright! Now that introductions are done, — let's talk about the semester long group project!" — "today you'll be choosing group partners for the project and each group should consist of six people each." The teacher said as he opened the projector. Ashlyn sighed and gripped her hair softly "calm down Ashlyn, don't panic. He might let you work alone-" ashlyns thoughts were cut off by the teacher's voice again. "Oh and no one will be allowed to work alone." The teacher said, Ashlyn cringed and groaned as she rested her head on the table.

"Ugh..this is not the group I was looking for." Ashlyn sighed as she thought to herself, thankfully Logan's here, just..across from her. Aiden was just yapping again, does he ever stop yapping?? "what was the point of the assigned seats if it was just going to end up like this?" Ashlyn asked himself as she buried her head onto her shirt. "Our main focus this semester will be the history of Georgia's oldest city, savannah." — "this is also what your project will be about, and the topics you'll choose to present on are stated in your rubric. Additionally, there is an overnight field trip to go along with the project!"— "of course it's optional, however, those who attend can get extra credit for your individual grade. As Logan heard grade, his face immediately lit up, he looked at Ashlyn, asking silently if she was going or not.

Ashlyn who noticed him, shook her head, Logan nodded and leaned. Back onto his chair.. he can't go without Ashlyn, he'll die there! So he decided not to go, even though it excited him, he thought it's better just not to go.  "If you are interested, the permission slips are on my desk and include everything you'll need to know." The teacher continued with a smile, the others nodded silently. "For the rest of the period, please choose what topic your group would like to present on."— "you've got 25 minutes so spend it wisely." The teacher said and hummed.

25 minutes have passed, they already talked about it and decided to choose one that Logan requested. "Don't forget to have the slips signed and bring them back on Monday." The teacher said before they walk out of the class.

"Group projects never go well Istg." Ashlyn whispered to Logan, Logan nodded and sighed "even worst, that Aiden guy has our number now, god knows what he's gonna do?" Logan asked Ashlyn, who nodded and rolled her eyes out of annoyance.
