||Alive or Dead||

Third pov

So many bodies. Seeing them all made Chitra cry even more. Uloopi held her and Arjun was on her other side.

Karn looked at his in laws. There was no love between them but he did respect them now it was time to light their pyre.

Dhirsthduyman's first thought was the kids. There was no way only Vikram survived. Where is Anjali where are the kids?

Siya : Arya Anjali? The kids? Where are they?

Uloopi : We need to find them. I promised Karthik I will find her. 

She left Chitra and followed Dhirsthduyman and Siya. They went inside the castle. More dead bodies were found. Most of soldiers. Siya didn't like this not even one bit. It reminded her of the time she found her brother's dead body.

Uloopi : Anjali!

She ran towards Anjali who was alive.

Uloopi : You are alive.

Anjali : The kids. 

She pointed towards a door. Dhirsthduyman went to break the door open. 

Siya : We can treat you.

Anjali : Adi? 

Uloopi : All are dead.

Anjali started to cry.

Anjali : Kill me. I can't face my daughters knowing that Adi won't be with me.

Uloopi : Anju....

Anjali : I am serious. Siya you do it. Please.

Siya took out her dagger and plunged it inside Anjali's heart. The way to kill an assassin is just the heart nothing else can kill them.

Uloopi held Anjali close to herself. 

Siya : Dhirsthduyman!

By this time Dhirsthduyman had broken down the door. All the four kids came out. Seeing her mother Pratha broke down. Naira, Nirav and Prathna didn't move. Siya went and hugged all four of them but their eyes were fixed on Anjali.

Dhirsthduyman carried Anjali. Chitra seeing Anjali started crying even more. Draupadi wiped her tears and kissed Anjali's head. Karn hugged the kids. Urvi didn't move. Anjali had become a good friend and now she was gone.

"Wow what a reunion."

All of them looked towards the voice.

Arjun : Who are you?

"The killer of this beautiful family."

Chitra : How could you?! You killed our family.

"My beautiful rajkumari I did it for you. Your position with me as the king."

Urvi : Have you gone insane?

Chitra : Vishwa stop it.

Vishwa : Come on Chitra we can rule together. Hell we can even capture Nagalok.

Uloopi : How dare you...

Vishwa : Shut up you peasant can't you see the royals talking. Come on Chitra.

Chitra took a deep breath.

Chitra : Today night we will talk.

Vishwa : I know you would come around.

Vishwa left. Chitra looked at them. 

Arjun : Chitra...

Chitra : I have a plan and I need all your help. Will you get rid of your rivalry one day for me.

Arjun and Karn : What is it?

Chitra : The plan is simple. First Urvi and Siya will be here with the kids. I know this man he will send attackers to kill these kids. Especially Vikram.

Siya : Don't worry.

Chitra : Uloopi and Karn you work together all the time and this is something I can't assign Arjun. Its simple. Plunder his family. From grandparents to babies no one should be alive.

Pratha : But Sowmya?

Chitra : Sowmya?

Pratha : Yes she is innocent. Her mother works as a maid over there.

Chitra : I mean his lineage should be hurt I don't care about the maids.  

Dhirsthduyman : What about me, Draupadi and Arjun?

Chitra : Arya will be with me. Draupadi I want you and Dhirsthduyman to stand gaurd. Kill any guard that tries to stop these two. Not one should be alive. i want him to die without him knowing the fact that we plundered his family.

Draupadi nodded her head.

Nirav : I want fight too.

Chitra : You will be protecting your siblings. 

Uloopi : Then what?

Chitra : We lite the pyre of each of these people. 

Arjun : Chitra we are here for you.

Chitra nodded her head. Arjun pulled her into a hug and kissed her head.

Durupad : What about me?

Chitra : You have the most important part. Kill everyone in the court room. I will assign new people as ministers.

Durupad smiled and nodded his head. Priya came forward and held Chitra's face.

Priya : You are a queen Chitra. A born one. Nothing will bring you down. I have to go to Panchal and be with my grandkids. I will take Urvi and SIya with me. We can protect the kids there better. I want a letter once this is done.

She then went to her husband/

Priya : Be safe. I don't want you dead.

Durupad smiled and nodded his head.

Priya : That goes for all of you. You all have kids and families. Don't forget.

All of them nodded his head. Priya took one last look at the bodies of the people she loved and left with her daughter in laws and kids.

Uloopi and Karn looked at each other. Working together after so many years. Uloopi gave him a small smile. Karn will do it. To avenge his wife's family. 

Dhirsthduyman kept Anjali's body on the floor next to Aditya. He smiled. The innocent girl who used to cry all the time. Became a wife, a mother and then a martyr. He would protect her children with all his life.

Draupadi looked at Nila and Aryaman. They were her number one supporters. Nila stood for everything that stood against other people's morals. Aryaman would do anything which helped Draupadi. Seeing them lifeless was the last thing she expected.

Arjun had no such connections with them but seeing Aryaman and Aditya dead hurt him a lot. They supported their family and now they were gone.

Karn couldn't deal with this anymore. All of his friends one by one died. Now he has only Uloopi, Chitra and Siya. If anything happens to them he will bring this whole house down.

Durupad looked at his best friend. After Kunti's sharp words both of them barely talked to each other and now he was dead. 

Chitra was the most conflicted one of them all. Her whole family is gone but was she doing the right thing destroying another person's family? But he destroyed hers didn't he?
