Coming Home

After the principal gives his speech we all go to class and do our four hours, plus a break, towards the exit we say goodbye to our classmates and Anastasia and I make our way together

Anastasia: thanks for keeping me company
Grace: you're welcome

We say goodbye with a kiss on the cheek and then I continue on my way, I get home by 2:30 in the afternoon and I do a quick tidy up while I try to send a message to the family group

Family, I just got home, now I'm going to do a quick tidy up and go to work

Theo
What a woman

Mom
Okay honey, when you get back from work I want to know everything about school

Grace
Okay

I take my bag and leave the house, locking it up, I decide to take my bike and make my way calmly.  Oh, I forgot this detail, I work as a waitress at the bar and my brother as a pastry chef, while my mother is a hairdresser.

Anyway, I just got to work and I go in, I find my boss, Joe, and I notice that there are a few people, I put my things down immediately and start working, after an hour there are fewer people and I continue cleaning

Joe: Grace, if you have homework you can go to my office
Grace: sure?
Joe: yes, because of all the employees I have, you are the only one left to continue studying
Grace: oh, ok
Joe: so for now you take a break and as soon as you finish everything you continue working
Grace: thanks Joe
Joe: you're welcome

I go to his office and start studying math with the addition of exercises, I also do Italian and then I see that it's 4 in the afternoon, in half an hour I completed two subjects, it's a record for me.  I quickly pack up my stuff and go back to work, then it's closing time and we all leave the bar, after a bit of a walk I get home and find Mom and Theo, we tell each other about our days and then I go take a quick shower, put on some summer pajamas and quickly tidy up my room

Theo: Grace, is pizza okay for tonight?
Grace: yes
Theo: are you okay?
Grace: yes, I'm just tired
Theo: is that all?
Grace: sit down for a second

He closes the door and sits on my bed looking at me in the face

Grace: do you know Anthony?
Theo: Miller?
Grace: yes
Theo: what did he say this time
Grace: nothing, just that he came closer telling me that he saw me on vacation in Greece and, when his friend Alex said that I should laugh a little, it seems that he defended me
Theo: strange
Grace: yes, and I was very confused at that moment
Theo: I imagine
Grace: do you think it's a sign?
Theo: what do you mean
Grace: his face has changed a lot, not to mention his body, he seems perfect
Theo: that's what's deceiving
Grace: I know
Theo: if there were to start to be something underneath I want to know
Grace: as an excuse, we hate each other
Theo: maybe this year something will change between you, anyway we have to go down to eat
Grace: okay

We go down and we already find the pizza on the table, we all have dinner together talking and then I go to sleep.
