When Heeseung dropped Jake home. Jake changed into his hoodie and sweatpants and flopped down on his bed. His heart was racing and he felt butterflies in his stomach which he honestly never felt before when he was around Heeseung. It was 11 pm and Jake decided to call his best friend Jay.
After a few rings, Jay finally picked up.

"Do you not know what sleep is." Jay said as he picked up the phone, "I need to ask you something." Jake replied

"No. Goodnight you can tell me, Sunghoon, and Ni-ki about your date tomorrow at school." Jay said
"It wasn't a da-" Jay had hung up on him. Jay loves to sleep so who could blame him? Jake sighed and put his phone on the charger next to his bed.
There's no way I like him. Right? He thought. I've known him for like 2 months now. Impossible that I have a crush on him.

Jake lay awake with his thoughts until he drifted off to sleep. The next morning when he woke up he sat up and checked his phone and saw thousands of messages from the group chat with Jay, Sunghoon, and Ni-ki.

The idiots

Ratty best friend:
SIM JAEYUN WHERE WERE YOU?!

Adopted Child:
Hyung Heeseung asking for you. He knocked on your door this morning but you didn't answer and he's worried.

The rat's boyfriend:
Yeah. He wouldn't stop asking me about you today in gym class.

When Jake checked the time he saw that it was 2 pm which meant he slept through school and his alarm didn't wake him up. There were also messages from Sunoo and Jungwon asking him where he was and that Heeseung was worried about him because he wasn't in school. Jake was about to respond to his friend's messages when he got a text from Heeseung.

Heeseungie

Heeseungie:
Jake?
Are you okay?
I knocked on your door this morning but you didn't answer. I even called 5 times.
You weren't in school today.
I missed you today.

Jake:
Hey Hyung I'm fine!
I just went to sleep a little later than usual and overslept.

Heeseungie:
Damn, you were knocked out cold Jakey. Missed a whole day of school. I bet you're hungry now huh?

Jake:
Yeah, I am!

Just then Jake heard a knock at his door and went downstairs to see who it was. He brushed down his messy bed hair and went downstairs to answer the door. Once he opened the door Heeseung was standing there holding a bag of ramen and Jake's favorite ice cream.

He remembered my favorite ice cream...

"I figured that you would be hungry so after school I stopped at the convenience store and bought you ramen and your favorite ice cream!" He said walking in and putting the bag on the counter. He then put the ice cream in Jake's fridge and made Jake's ramen for him.

"You remembered my favorite ice cream?" Jake asked as he sat down. "Of course I did! Why wouldn't I?" He replied, "No reason!"

Jake's phone was going off nonstop and he knew who it was blowing up his phone.

STUPID HOE.

Rat's boyfriend:
Baby, I don't think he'll answer he's probably still asleep.

Adopted child:
No, he's not. He was active a few minutes ago.

Rat's boyfriend:

JAKE GET ON HERE U BITCH.

Jake:
What?
I'm eating.

Adopted child:
Damn, hyung is food more important than your best friends?🥺

Jake:
Yes.

Rat's boyfriend:
DAMN.
Anyway, what's going on you weren't at school and you haven't responded to our texts all day.

Jake:
Sorry, I overslept. But Heeseung's over!
He brought me ramen and my favorite ice cream!

Ratty best friend:
How does he know you're favorite ice cream?

Jake:
Cause when we were doing our science project I told him
Anyway, gotta go!

Adopted child:
Wha-

Ratty best friend:
HOE?!

Jake put down his phone and continued eating his ramen and chatting with Heeseung. Usually Jake's the one that does the talking but today he just listens as Heeseung talks. After a few hours, Heeseung went home. They spent a good amount of time talking and stuff and every time Heeseung smiled butterflies flew around in his stomach and his heart was pounding. Once Heeseung left Jake's house Jake immediately flopped down on the couch.

"Fuck I'm in love with him." Jake groaned into the couch pillow. Jake grabbed his phone and decided to dial someone. After a few rings the person picked up. "Hey. I have a question. Can you come over?"

"What question was so important that I had to cancel my date with Jay," Sunghoon asked as he came inside and flopped down on Jake's couch.

"When you had a crush on Jay. Was your heart beating fast?" He asked sitting down next to him and giving him a glass of water. "Yeah? Why?" He asked.

"Were you ever scared that if you confessed to him he would stop being your friend?" Jake continued, "Okay Jake what's with these questions?" He asked raising an eyebrow and taking a sip of water.

Jake took a deep breath before answering. "I. I think I like Heeseung. Like more than just a friend..." he blurted out which made Sunghoon choke on his water. "YOU LIKE HEESEUNG HYUNG?!" He choked out.

"Yeah," Jake said rubbing the back of his head. "I think it started last night when I took him out for his birthday. Or sooner like when he accidentally kissed me." He continued.

"Okay but why are you asking me about this?" Sunghoon asked, "Because you're my only friend who's in a relationship and had a crush." Jake replied, "Yeah well can I go home now Jay's upset I had to ditch our date to come here." Sunghoon getting up. "Yeah yeah sure go to your man," Jake said rolling his eyes sarcastically.

Once Jake was alone again he figured he should shower since he hadn't all day. Honestly, he's surprised he didn't stink. Or maybe he did.

Jake had never been in love with anyone before like he was with Heeseung. He wonders if the older one likes him back. And if he does does he like him for him or does he like him because he's a model?
