The palace is settled on the peak of the Frigida mountain. Its entirety spans the snowy peaks alongside the glaciers that glimmers with the light. The sun rays barely hug the structure as the place is always fogged with frost and is always in its ambiance of gray and white. The palace was surrounded by pine trees covered in snow. The place radiates gloomy vibes and death. Its pointed towers almost looked like swords aiming to reach the sky challenging the gods and deities. The giant Haleigigas were disguised as a block of massive mountainous ice surrounding the palace- asleep. They are the guardians of the Ice Palace
The palace is heavily guarded with the soldiers wearing full body armor in the shade of pale blue-the color of frost and commanded by the ruler, the heartless Allegra de Blaze. Her roots are from the clan of Ember and was long been kneeled to as believed to be the chosen one who harnesses the power of ice despite coming from a clan of fire casters.
" Have you found her yet?" her voice echoed inside the palace's walls. She has spent countless years looking for the child foreseen by the ancestors as the chosen one. Frost heiress.
"My queen, I've only seen her from afar. She showed no trace of magic. She's a mortal, a weak mortal."
She stood up from her throne and walked towards her son. Her skin was as pale as a corpse and her eyes were deep and alluring. She wore a crimson gown embellished with diamonds that twinkled like little snowflakes when struck by light. Her lips curved slightly as she reached for her son's face with both hands now cupping his face.
"My child, haven't you learned how deceitful a human can be? How could you be such a fool?" She caressed his face making him shiver in fear.
" Haven't I told you enough stories about them mortals, Cove?" Allegra's voice had a hint of anger as she squeezed her son's cheeks.
"Forgive me, Mother, I'll keep on watching her. I'll be back tomorrow, she got the package you sent her. I must check if she knew what it meant." Cove answered with confidence looking at her soulless mother straight to her eyes.
"Carry on then child, don't disappoint me." her voice threatening as she walks back to her throne.
" Will follow, Mother."
He rose from kneeling and left the palace. He has been a faithful knight to the queen, his mother. He never dared talk back to her mother not even once, she's the only one who took care of him when his family was burned to ash by the Embers. He wandered to the door that leads outside the kingdom, bothered by the thought of the girl he has to befriend.

Everrette
I have found both a haven and heaven at the library, it's been hours that I've been flipping Grandma's old book and I haven't noticed it's almost past midnight. I spent the night flipping through countless books reliving the tales of the lost kingdom somewhere far from human sight, far from human touch. I find it weird how the petals and the smell sparked a sense of familiarity deep inside me. So far, the clues that I found are being the winter rose is the ice queen's favorite. Lucky is someone given a gift- it means you're special and or have the blood of the royalties. It blooms symbolizing peace and it's an honor to be given one. But, as for me, how honorable could I be to receive such a delicate gift? Maybe someone who knows Grandma and her tales is playing mind games with me. I took a deep sigh as I closed the book, looking back at the envelope and the petals my mind became even more chaotic than it already was.
"Grandma, please help me" was all I said before leaving the room and heading to my room for a good night's sleep.
Every step feels heavy as I ascend the stairs heading to my room. When I reached there I opened the huge door carved with an oak tree with no leaves shed for winter. Anywhere in the house showed connections to winter but the inhabitants were always in warmth of emotions. Me and Grandma were never as cold as ice. I took a deep breath and walked to the window, I parted the curtains and pushed the window open for the wind to enter. I've always slept with the moon watching me while being gently caressed by the cool night breeze. I keep on turning sides on the bed thinking of the future from now. Where shall I go?
I stayed up a bit and started getting drowsy as the cold breeze started filling my room. My eyes closed in the cold of the night and drifted to nothingness.
─
As her eyes closed with tiredness a cloud of mist formed on her window. Snowflakes flew inside her room emerging into a figure gazing at her. She's so beautiful. The man thought to himself. He wandered around her room mesmerized by the deep hues of paintings nailed on her room walls. Frame by frame he scanned her room.
"She looks so carefree. She's got no trace of coldness but warmth in her soul. Could the queen be mistaken?" a question sparks doubt inside his head. Maybe the queen could be mistaken too.
