The morning when about how I expected it to.
I was violently woken up by the sound of the metal door being banged on.
I opened my eyes to see who was greeting me this morning. And to no one's surprise it was non other than Big Bad herself.
"Wake up. The colonel what's to ask you some more questions." She as she began unlocking the door.
I sat up out of the bed and waited for her to come in and retrieve me. She had a pair of handcuffs with her and I looked at the with my brow raised.
"Are those really necessary?" I asked.
I was tired of having to be escorted around this place with the damn things on. It's not like I was going to hurt anyone. Granted I could have easily done so with them on or off if I wanted to.
"Yeah now quit your whining!" She said sternly as she slapped the cuffs on to my wrists.
I was then escorted down the same hallways as last night, all the way back to the interrogation room from yesterday. I was sat down in the same chair as yesterday and then we waited.
Big Bad went back to her corner of the room and watched me. Those green orbs she had for eyes watched me closely. She looked at me as if she was sizing me up, like a predator looking for its next potential meal. It unsettled me to say the least.
After a couple of minutes of waiting the colonel walked in and sat down across from me.
"Sleep well Sergeant?" She asked.
"As well as one can in such a situation." I said.
I'm going to be honest though... I slept like a fucking rock. This was probably the most sleep I've had in a couple of days and I took full advantage of it!
"I believe we got off on the wrong foot yesterday Sergeant. I want to make it clear to you that I am trying my best not to make this difficult for either of us. I just want you to understand there is more at stake here than petty little grievances we may have with each other." The wolf said.
I simply raised my handcuffed wrists. "If that's the truth then why are these still here?" I asked giving her a disdainful look.
"Sergeant Anderson please." The colonel ordered.
Big Bad walked over to me from her corner and produced a key from her pocket. She then leaned down and began to take the cuffs off.
"Try anything human and I will tear your throat out understand?" The big she-wolf said as she took off my handcuffs.
"Loud and clear." I said as I rubbed my wrists where the cuffs were.
"Colonel I have one question for you that I want answered before we continue. Depending on your answer I will ask some follow up questions and then we can continue our discussion." I said as I continued to look at her with a scowl on my face.
"Fire away Sergeant." She responded and gestured for me to continue.
"Do you hate me?" I asked. It was a simple question with a simple answer.
The colonel raised her eyebrow but I saw that she understood what I was asking and she answered.
"I do not hate you nor any of your kind. Aside from a few deserving individuals but that is only natural." The colonel replied.
I nodded. "I want to make it clear to you colonel for the sake of transparency that I am not as forgiving of a person. I still hold much resentment towards your kind for how blatantly you all turned on us. Though this does not mean I cannot work with you. I'm sure many people here share similar sentiments towards me and that is understandable." I said and then paused for a moment to see if the colonel had anything to say about that.
