Not the Man I Thought He Was

We left the house deciding that it would be best to share this knew knowledge with Scott. We arrived to find several police cars and emergency personnel all over the place.

"I can't leave these kids alone for one night without something going to shit," I muttered as the three of us piled out of Derek's car.

Peter and I followed Derek towards the locker room where I'm assuming Derek knew they were. We walked into a locker door on the ground with Scott holding one of Stiles' flannels and Isaac holding a shoe?

"We need to talk," Derek says.

"All of us," Peter adds stepping out from behind the lockers. So dramatic.

"Holy shit," Scott says at the sight of Peter. Obviously, there is a lot of history with this guy that I am missing.

"What the hell is this?" Scott asks not hiding his surprise.

"You know, I thought the same thing when I saw you talking to Gerard at the Sheriff's station," Derek says accusingly making me shoot him a disapproving glance.

"Okay, hold on. He-he threatened to kill my mom. And I had to get close to him. What was I supposed to do?" Scott asks trying to figure out what's going on.

"I'm gonna go with Scott on this one. Have you seen his mom? She's gorgeous," Peter says looking towards Isaac.

"Shut up!" Derek and I say at the same time making Peter give us a strange look.

"Who is he?" Isaac asks. At least I'm not the only one out of the loop on this guy.

"He's Peter. Derek's Uncle. Little while back, he tried to kill us all, and then we set him on fire, and Derek slashed his throat," Scott says. Well at least I have a little more context and even more of a reason to hate him.

Peter just gives a wave and a soft "Hi," While Isaac gives an uneasy smile and says, "That's good to know,"

"How is he alive?" Scott asks. Justifiable question given the circumstances.

"Look the short version is he knows how to stop Jackson. Maybe how to save him," I interrupt not wanting to waste anymore time.

"Well, that's very helpful except Jackson's dead," Isaac says making us all give him shocked looks.

"What?" Derek asks.

"Yeah, Jackson's dead. It just happened on the field," Scott says.

"Okay, why is no one taking this as good news?" Isaac asks.

"Because if Jackson is dead, it didn't just happen. Gerard wanted it to happen," Peter answers.

"But why?" Derek asks.

"That's exactly what we need to figure out next," I answer.

"Something tells me that the window of opportunity is closing. Quickly," Peter adds.

We headed back to the house. Peter insisted that there was something in the house that would lead to some answers.

"Look I told you I looked everywhere," Derek says as Peter starts examining the stairs.

"What are we looking for exactly?" I ask annoyed at the lack of communication.

"You didn't look here," Peter says as he takes one of the boards off the steps.

Peter reaches in and pulls out a box.

"What is that a book?" Derek asks.

"No, it's a laptop. What century are you livin in?" He asks making me smile and Derek to give me a look.
