JAY'S POV

It's been a month now, and I feel lighter, like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Spending time with my family has brought me back to myself in a way I didn't even know I needed.

She was right when she said I needed this break.

But now, it's bittersweet... I'm sad to leave, yet so excited to see my love again.

Harsh walks over, breaking my thoughts.

"The car's ready," he says, giving me a quick nod.

I turn to Maa and Sid, giving them a tight hug.

"Come often," Maa says, her voice filled with warmth.

"Yes, Maa," I reply with a small smile.

Seenu's eyes are starting to mist up. I chuckle,

"Stop crying drama queen. I'll come here often, I promise."

"And next time, bring her home," Maa teases.

I smile softly and ask,

"What do you think, Maa? Do you think she'll like me back?"

"Just don't rush things, beta. Girls appreciate patience," Maa advises with a soft smile.

Before I can respond, Seenu teases,

"You look like you're about to take an exam, bhaiya!"

I laugh, shaking my head.

"Feels like one, sometimes," I mutter.

I ruffle Seenu's head playfully.

"Take care, kid,"

I wave at them, and with one last glance at the house, I step into the car, feeling that familiar excitement surge through me once again.

----

I reach my apartment and text her,

I'll be at your house in an hour.

I'll be waiting, she texts back.

I giggle again, feeling a little giddy

I giggle again, feeling a little giddy.

I take a shower, probably the longest one I've ever taken, trying to calm my nerves.

Afterward, I pick out my clothes-a simple white shirt and brown pants, something casual. I decide to leave my car behind. I don't want any media attention. Harsh drops me off in his car.

When I arrive at her house, I pause for a breath before entering, feeling a rush of excitement and anticipation.

As I walk past her garden, my eyes are drawn to her before I even realize it. She's standing there, relaxed yet composed, wearing a sleek, fitted tracksuit that highlights her natural athleticism. Her hair, loosely tied back, sways gently with the breeze, adding an air of ease to her sporty appearance. She catches sight of me, and a spark of recognition lights up her face. She lifts her hand and waves, her smile broadening into something warm and genuine, the kind of smile that seems to light up her entire face.
