Ch 2:I thought I knew you

I felt like I was falling deeper and deeper into the darkness, into despair,this is not heaven,this is not hell. It's something else,my soul feels like it's being grinded up and out like paste on repeat and no noise comes out of me no matter how hard I scream.

Suddenly it stops and I feel like something is pulling me,up?

I wake up covered in sweat,I thought I died of blood loss. I check my arm but it's completely normal I check my side where that beasts pierced and it's normal,my internal organs even feel alright like nothing is miss.

I examine my surroundings, I'm back at home in bed,I would think it is a dream but...my legs are currently being held onto the bed by the blanket as if it was alive.

"I'm sorry mother but I couldn't let him die because of me!" Aria's voice was coming from inside the living room.

I grab my titanium cutting razor knife from under my pillow and I cut the blanket on my legs to free myself as the blanket wails in agony.

I quickly grab my prototype arc-suit from the closet and put it on and take my flash cannon revolver with me and I break through the door and immediately rush towards Aria.

I get to Aria and shield her from the 7 cloaked women in the house.

"Dear are you alright?"I asked while keeping my eyes on the others.

"Dear wait stop! it's my mother and sisters, don't hurt them"she hugged me from behind.

"You will listen to her,boy you don't understand the position which you find yourself in" the old woman,most likely Aria's mother said sternly.

I sigh heavily and lower my gun only to be met with a gut punch by wooden mannequin.

I cough up a lot of blood and fall to the ground.

"Mother please stop this!" Aria had teary eyes and clutched me.

"It is his own doing for not being religious, I'm disappointed that you married someone like him and didn't invite me to your wedding,but I guess the great Iris deserves it" Aria's mother stern voice made the house shake.

I felt my bones ache with pains I never knew existed,my blood felt like it was scalding water and my nerves burned like hell. I activated my arc-suit and those pains instantly faded and I stood up fast

"By the old ones,how is this possible, you should be in pain and dying!" Iris was so angry and fearful.

I knew the arc-suit would come in handy, especially since it allows me to move with my body without pain,and increase every aspect of my body by a hundred.

"Mother that's enough!" Aria's voice seems to nullify whatever Iris was doing.

Then Aria somehow shot shot out ice at her mother and sisters,it was like magic, literally.

"I'm not sure what I just saw.Aria what is going on,I thought I knew you, and I thought I lost you" I said,my eyes practically in tears.

"She's a witch,we all are. Women of witchcraft and voodoo,and our family line of witches dates back all the way to the trials,the witch trials" Iris was proud.

"Not all the ones burned then were witches,but one was,she was our ancestor and her name was never documented as she was the one that fought back and killed those who opposed nature" the sisters said in unison.

"Dear"I cup my wife's face in my hands,"is it?are you really not?" I said,but I knew the truth and wanted to hear it from her.

She pulled away and unfroze her mother and sisters.

"Yes dear I'm not human but a witch,I love you....but I cannot stay by your side anymore,thank you for making my life better"Aria smiled happily with teary eyes.

It was like light speed and they vanished,her ring fell to the floor with a faint sound.

I felt my world come crashing down, witches were real, magic was real,my own wife was a witch,it explains why she didn't want to have kids but....no,no Time to think about what if and what could I do.

I go and pack up my lab equipment and weapons and load them into my car. I pick up her ring on the floor and put it on my finger, I'm going to find her and bring her home...but I know I can't do it alone,I need help. I guess it's time for a road trip back home to the USA, just great.
