As soon as Caleb arrived home after an underwhelming day of work, annoying lectures, stupid classmates and a ton of homework dumped onto his plate. He needed to relax. Especially after the Maria incident. Was this seemingly 'cool skater girl' actually....Normal? Caleb was a huge overthinker and a big fan of crime documentaries. Whenever he heard of how the killers would act to their soon to be victims, they would just be overall..Strange.? The question asked earlier on in the day to him and Allison surely was abnormal. Why would you ask people you just met such a question?? Was he overthinking? Was he being as paranoid as usual?? Or was Maria deceiving everyone around her that she wasnt some psycho?! It was freaking him out, the way he couldnt stop thinking about it was really weird.

Caleb made his way upstairs, preparing to head to bed after he briskly cleaned up his messy bedroom, shoving his clothes into his wardrobe with little to no care. He jumped onto bed and pulled out his phone, preparing to put on some music, he'd probably just play some songs by the Artic Monkeys on Spotify , maybe even some Bruno Mars. That was until he thought once more about Maria. There was one person he noticed that didnt particularly welcome Maria. There was one person who surely seen something off about her. The girl who is hardened to hurt, Ciara Keane. Caleb and Ciara were pretty good friends, they shared somewhat similar interests, they both liked football, (or soccer for you stupid american readers /j nobody american reads this) rock music and skateboarding ...Sorta. He tried to teach Ciara how to skate, it never worked. She swore to beat his face in if he ever told anyone that she failed in skateboarding.

Caleb opens up her contact on his phone, should he call? Or should he leave it? Was he just being irrationally anxious?!??! He didnt know, but his gut told him to do it. Just incase. He clicked onto her contact and hesitantly pressed the 'Call' button. The phone rang for a bit, Ciara was never on her phone, she would always see messages weeks after they were sent. Yet this time, she answered!!

"Hello..?" Ciara's gruff voice echoed through the phone. Her tone of voice seeming bothered, she was probably busy with her 'super hard life'.

"Hey, Ciara!! I can tell you dont wanna talk too much, so I will make this short. Do you remember that girl you seen today? Dressed in the red?" Caleb questions, hoping she did.

"Mhm. I do." Ciara replied.

"Okay- Okay..I was just wondering...Did you....Like....I dunno...Like-" Caleb got cut off.

"Jesus Christ, stop the stuttering and spit. it. out." Ciara sighed, clearly irritated, as she always was.

"Okay!! Sorry dude!! I was just thinking, did you see anything off about her? That Maria girl?" Caleb asked.

"...Off? Of course I did." Ciara mumbled into the speaker.

Caleb's head perked up, very interested. He knew his theory would be right. "Yeah? How so??" Caleb interrogated.

"Her eyes." Ciara said, bluntly. That signature hint of coldness on her voice was more evident than ever.

Caleb was suddenly confused, he seen Ciara's eyes burning into Maria's, he seen the look she gave her..But Maria's eyes were just a normal blue?

"Her...eyes..?" Caleb asked, making sure that he heard it correctly.

"Yes her eyes!! Did I stutter??" Ciara exclaimed, seeming pissed. Yet Caleb knew she wasnt truly pissed at him.

"I know..Its just...how?" Quizzed Caleb.

"They're..WEIRD. They are your normal shade of blue, but they are just..strange. When I looked into them they just had an aura of...I dont know-..I dont know a word for it..." Ciara explained, her voice getting more intense and her tone more frustrated. She didnt know how to explain it at all.

"Ahh..Okay..." Caleb replied, he didnt really understand what she meant, yet he also did? It was confusing.

"Well..Sorry for bothering you! See you at school tomorrow." Caleb said, giving his goodbyes to Ciara.

"Bye." Ciara mumbled over the phone.

BUZZ.

Ciara hung up immediately after saying bye. She didnt like calling anyone. Caleb rolled over onto his right side on his bed and let out a huge sigh. He was going to go asleep. He didnt feel bothered with anything else.
