                         _-_Your POV_-_

Once Kinich had walked away from the house, you rushed inside.

You sighed in relief. It was good to be back home.

But you would have a hard time living here without everything reminding you of your parents.

You sank down into the soft bed in your parents room.

Tears came into your eyes, but you pushed them away, determined not to cry.

You must have stayed there for at least an hour.

The room still smelled like your mother's perfume.

You slowly got up and went to the shelves.

You ran your fingers over the statues on the desks.

Your parents had been some of the best carvers in natlan.

They had originally come from the children of echos, which was how you knew Kachina so well.

Then, your parents said that they had to move.

Saying goodbye to all your friends, everyone you had ever met, and the cliffs you grew up on had been the hardest thing.

But you knew you had to be strong, and after a few months, the scions of the canopy really felt like home.

You shake the memory out of your mind.

You softly touched the drawings hanging on the wall.

You were a great artist, and some people even paid you just to get your art.

Of course, you just gave the art for free.

On your parents birthdays, anniversaries, on Christmas, on Halloween, on every single holiday, you would spend hours working on a drawing just for them.

They had kept so many, there was barely room for anything else.

Your hand came to a stop on the best one.

Your parents loved it.

It was a recent drawing of you, your parents, your saurian, and-

Wait.
