Switched roles

Three simple words...

    "You guys are the sweetest couple ever," Valt practically fanboyed over Shu and Lui, "Valt, you're gonna get Lui mad," A vein popped from Lui's head at Shu's words, "What's that supposed to mean," Lui asked angrily, "I know how nervous and flushed you get whenever someone mentions how cute our relationship is," Shu leaned in closer, "Especially you~"

    "Can you flirt when everyone ISN'T on the video call?" Shu turned back to the tablet ad chuckled nervously at Rantaro's sudden complaint, "Sorry, got a bit carried away there."

    "But you have to admit, they look cute as a couple," Lui blushed, "Yeah, the cutest couple ever," Slowly, Lui's cheeks got redder, "Might even get married when they grow up."

    "Can you guys stop it already!?" Lui shouted, "It's not like we're the first couple you've seen!"

    "Yeah but you are the last one we expected to see," Lui looked away blushing as he shifted nervously, "All of you are dumb..."

    "Don't worry about Lui, he's just being a bit... nervous," Lui looked at Shu with a slight pout before looking away. Shu wrapped an arm around Lui's waist pulling him closer making him gasp as he felt Shu's body against his, "But enough about me and Lui, how have you guys been doing?"

    "Guess who successfully confessed to Free?" Valt did a peace sign, "You like Free?" Lui asked, "Not like, I love him."

    "Love..." Lui pondered on the word as he looked down, "Love..."

    "Wait, haven't you sad it to Shu?" Wakiya asked drawing Lui's attention, "Well..."

    "We know we both love each other and we don't need words to say it."

    "Have you ever said you liked each other," A pause, "I swear to God! You two are the most fucking unequipped boyfriends ever!"

    "We have said we like each other it's just... it's harder to say love than it is like."

    "Is it?" Lui looked up at Shu, "I don't mean it negatively it's just...on all the nights you have good dreams I always say...I love you," There was silence, Lui looked at Shu, his eyes widening in shock. He just said that so...so...so easily, it made him feel like....like...

    "But it doesn't matter," Shu said with a smile, "We know we love each other even if we don't say it as much as most people do," Lui looked down, he suddenly felt like a bad boyfriend, he bit his bottom lip looking down as the former teammates talked. His mind on that word.

    I love you...

    It wasn't as easy as it seemed.

    "Making pasta with my Bf~making pasta with my bf~gonna gobble it up and feed his to him, making pasta with my. B.F~" Shu chuckled as he listened to Lui's playful singing, "Are you happy about the pasta or about making it with me?"

    "Both!" Shu chuckled, his phone rang suddenly calling his attention. He brought it out, that caller ID read Fubuki. Lui looked down, he hadn't talked to Fubuki after...the carnival. The way he spoke about the incidents of the past it's like...like...

    "Sorry, gotta take this," Shu said as he swiped answer and put it to his ear, "Hey Shu-" Just as Lui began, just when he grabbed Shu's shirt the albino kissed his forehead surprising the bluenette as he quickly said, "Love you," Before leaving the kitchen to attend to the call properly, "Yeah...Hey Fubuki...yeah, that is what your supposed to do..." His voice trailed off as he walked into the house, Lui watching from the kitchen, "Love..." Lui looked at his hand, "You?"

    Lui read a book, Shu sitting beside him reading a book as well. Suddenly, something seemed to fall down from the ceiling when Shu looked he saw a spider on the chair.

    "Fuck! Spider!" Lui looked down raising his book and body away from it slightly as Shu hit it with his bare hand killing it instantly, "There we go," Lui looked up at Shu as he let out a relieved sigh. He smiled putting his hand on top of Shu's "Shu...I-" Suddenly the spider jumped, "Shit! It ain't dead!" Shu said carrying his book to hit it one more time.

    "Alright, you ready Lui?" Lui nodded, hands over his eyes as he chuckled, whatever Shu's surprise was Shu really seemed to be impatient about showing it to Lui, "Ta-da!" Lui opened his eyes and to his surprise Shu held a small white kitten in his hands, it's eyes bright violet, "You like it?" Shu asked as he smiled at his bluenette boyfriend, "Like it? I..." Lui took it from Shu's hands and sniffed, "Love it~" Shu noticed the tears in Lui's eyes well up as he held it tightly, "Shu..." Lui looked up and leaned closer to Shu holding the car to his chest, "I...Falafel."

    "Falafel!?" Lui bowed his head, "You wanted to say I love you but you said falafel!?" Wakiya exclaimed, "It's not that easy, okay!?" Lui looked away, "It's like...when I look at him...those bright red eyes I...I just can't bring myself to say it."

    "Now booking a flight to America so I can come there and smack some sense into you!" Wakiya said aggressively tapping his phone, "Lui, I have met dumb people when it comes to relationships but you...you need to go to relationship kindergarten."

    "Nah, he needs to climb back into relationships womb."

    "For crying out loud! I can to you for love advice not criticism!" Lui shouted, "I just...wanna be a better boyfriend..."

    "Okay Lui, here it is," Wakiya rested on his hands, "I am pretty sure at this point Shu doesn't care whether you say it or not but if it means that much to you then I have only one piece of advice for you..." Wakiya opened his eyes and looked Lui straight in the eyes through the screen, "Tell him."

    "Ha!?" Lui's face went red, "I can't give you any other piece of advice, it's not that it isn't complicated it's just the truth. There isn't any other way to put it, you just have to muster up the confidence to say it," Lui looked down poking his finger together as he shifted nervously, "But...what if it goes wrong or I say falafel again or-"

    "Lui, if Shu loves you just as must as you love him then I don't think there's anyway for you to say it wrong," Lui looked down, "Maybe..."

    "Hey Shu," The albino looked up as his boyfriend walked into the room hands behind his back, "I...I have a confession to make," Shu sat up, "Sure, what's up?" Lui sat beside Shu, "I have something I need to tell you...something...urgent," Shu raised a brow as he scooted closer to his boyfriend, "I'm all ears."

    "Shu, I..." That's when it happened, their eyes locked. Lui froze, he stared into Shu's crimson eyes before looking down with a blush, "I...I..." Shu tilted his head, Lui's face had become red, suddenly, he looked up and pulled Shu down for a kiss. Shu's eyes widened as Lui pulled away, the kiss only lasted a matter of seconds as the bluenette looked down, his cheeks completely red, "I've been trying to tell you all this since but I...I only gained the confidence now..." Lui looked into Shu's eyes, "I...I..." He cupped Shu's face in his hands, "I love you..."

    Silence followed,  Shu chuckled as a smile came onto his face.

    "You dummy," Shu kissed Lui's forehead, "I already knew you did," He backed away, "But it feels nice to hear you say it," He smiled again, this one being warmer and brighter, "Lui's face went red and he looked away blushing. Shu pulled him onto his lap and hugged him with a smile. Lui hesitated but, he rested his head on Shu's chest and closed his eyes listening to Shu's soft heartbeat.

    "I really do love you Shu."

    "I know Lui," Shu kissed his forehead, "And nothing can change that."
