"Don't think I won't!" Trent shot back, looking genuinely offended as he stood up. The room erupted in cheers.
"Just so you know-there's no editing here, my guy!" Chunkz called after him with a grin.
"Nah, I don't need edits" the scouser assures lining up the ball.
"You're not getting it first try," Chunkz called sceptically.
"Could you move a little closer?" a voice asked from behind the camera.
"Alright, if you want me to" he obeyed.
"Regardless, you're not gonna do it" Chunkz still didn't believe the Liverpool player. "Not in the LV's" he added to which Trent took off his shoes. "Never first time, never! He ain't got the minerals."
Trent aimed, then shot the ball, hitting the crossbar, making everyone cheer or clap for him. After the room calmed down and the detectives went back to their places, Sophie still smiling looked around.
"You still want me to hit it as well... or did you do that in my place?" she asked half-jokingly, gesturing towards the crossbar.
The lads looked at each other, while Trent looked at the brunette in thought. Biting his lips, he looked towards the crossbar, then back at the woman.
"I mean, I could give you something easier to do" the scouser started, unsure about what he wanted.
"Easier? I don't need easier" she looked confused. "What, you don't think I could hit it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What? No, that's not what I'm saying" his eyes widened in fear of offending her.
"Maybe you should give me something else to do" she pouted, acting like she was unsure of herself. "I wouldn't want to hurt your ego after hitting the crossbar better than you" she said with a shrug of her shoulders after a dramatic pause, a smirk forming on her lips as the beta squad started to shout in surprise of her boldness.
"Alright then," Trent smirked as well. "Hit it" he pointed towards the goal.
Sophie lined up her shot just as Trent had. She glanced at the crossbar, exhaled, and struck the ball. It hit the bar with a satisfying clang. Smiling, she returned to her spot, almost feeling like she'd just scored a match-winner. Thinking about it felt bittersweet, a part of her still missed the competitive energy of playing on a pitch, the thrill of showing her skills, so she just focused on the cheering people around her, ignoring the feeling.
"Fair play" Trent exclaimed, clapping for the brunette, to which she nodded in thanks.
"Alright that round is now over, it's time to get voting" Chunkz announces.
They voted out number 4, which wasn't at all surprising. As they approached the end, though, it became harder to choose between the last 3 players.
"So guys, we're down to the last round, 3 contestants left and we're gonna watch them heve a game of 2 touch, no bounce and let's see who wins" Trent announced, leaning forward.
