The loud music echoed off the walls of the house, spilling out into the dimly lit street outside. Inside, drinks were splashing everywhere as people bumped into one another.

Jhoanna was leaning against the wall with cups in her hands, watching her friends dance and hearing their laughter blend with the thumping music.

"You guys are the best!" a loud cheer rang out from the volleyball players, directed at Mikha, the one who organized the whole party.

Mikha, along with her friends Maloi, Sheena, Gwen, Jhoanna, and Aiah, put this celebration together to honor the volleyball team's win.

Jhoanna scanned the room and noticed Stacey and Colet nearby. They had invited some friends from their campus organization, which explained their presence at the party.

Every now and then, Jhoanna and Colet would lock eyes, and each time it sent butterflies fluttering in Jhoanna's stomach, as if they were sharing a secret conversation without saying a word.

Needing a breath of fresh air, Jhoanna decided to step out to the pool area. With a cup in her hand, she inhaled deeply, feeling the cool night air prickling her skin and refreshing her senses.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself out here all alone," a voice said, and a smile spread across Jhoanna's face. Colet appeared at her side, leaning casually against the railing with a cheerful grin.

"I just needed a moment to breathe..." Jhoanna glanced at her and added, "Colet."

Colet smiled warmly back, her eyes sparkling under the dim light, pulling Jhoanna's full attention away from the bustling party inside.

"What about you? Why are you out here? You should be having fun inside." Jhoanna asked, genuinely curious.

"I'm not really the party type," Colet replied, taking a sip of her drink, her expression thoughtful.

The sounds of laughter and music faded slightly, leaving a comfortable silence between them.

"Then why did you come?" Jhoanna pressed, intrigued.

Colet met Jhoanna's gaze, her warm smile still bright on her lips, radiating a light that seemed to fill the space between them.

"Because you're here," she said, her voice soft, as if the very presence of Jhoanna made the moment more special.

Jhoanna felt her heart flutter at Colet's words, a rush of warmth spreading through her, igniting something deep within.

It was as if the world around them faded, leaving just the two of them suspended in time.

The vibrant colors of the setting sun reflected in Colet's eyes, making them sparkle with an almost magical glow.
