RYLAN'S POV

As I stepped out of the shower and returned to my room, the door swung open, revealing a figure that made my heart stall. There she stood-a woman with captivating, vibrant eyes and long, damp hair cascading over her shoulders. Her white top clung to her, soaked through, accentuating every delicate curve. She looked as if she'd just stepped out of a dream, ethereal and breathtaking, like a vision sent straight from heaven.

But wait-I don't even know her name. I decided to call her Firefly, a symbol of light in the darkness. My delusional ass dared to hope she might become that spark, the light in my shadowed life. A foolish thought, maybe, but as I looked at her, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was meant to chase away my darkness.

And then, I found out that my Firefly had mistaken the room number. A simple mix-up, yet it felt like fate. I couldn't help but hope it would be the best mistake of her life-and maybe, if I was lucky, the beginning of something unforgettable.

Most people would dream of having the life I live. But with it comes a heavy cost-no privacy, a dwindling personal life, an endless, exhausting schedule, and so much more. The shine fades when you see the shadows lurking behind it all.

I'm on the road for my 'Velvet Vortex Tour'-an intense whirlwind that'll keep me spinning for the next year and a half. The schedule is grueling, the days blur together, and exhaustion is a constant companion. But there's one thing that keeps me going, one reason I don't give up: my fans. Their energy, their loyalty-they're the pulse driving me forward.

My Firefly appeared again, this time to work her magic on my makeup. With a delicate touch and a playful smile, she transformed the chaos of my day into something beautiful. Each brushstroke felt like a spark of creativity, igniting something within me.

She was inches away, her face drawn in that familiar look of focus as she worked on blending the eyeshadow, seemingly oblivious to how close we were. I tried to stay still, but I couldn't resist glancing at her, taking in the way her brow furrowed in concentration, like she was painting a masterpiece.

Then, just as I was about to say something clever, her hand wavered. Her eyes lost focus, and before I knew it, she slumped forward, collapsing onto me.

"Hey!" I reached out instinctively, catching her as she fell. Her head landed against my shoulder, and I held her there, barely daring to breathe. I looked down at her-pale, motionless, and oddly fragile, a word I'd never have associated with her.

"Alright, come on... don't leave me hanging here," I murmured, trying to mask the worry in my voice as I carefully shifted her in my arms. She didn't respond, and a spark of panic flashed through me.

I grabbed a water bottle, pouring a bit onto my hand before pressing it against her cheek. "I know you're dedicated, but passing out just to avoid me teasing you? That's a little much, don't you think?"

Finally, she started to come around, her lashes fluttering, her gaze bleary as she tried to focus. I grinned, relieved and still holding onto her. "Thought you were gone there for a second. What, you couldn't handle being this close to me?"

She groaned, clearly irritated, and tried to pull away, her movements slow and a little clumsy. "Get... off...," she muttered, clearly annoyed, but her voice barely above a whisper.

I leaned in, unable to resist. "You're the one who fainted on me," I said, brushing a stray strand of hair away from her face. "Besides, you could've just asked if you wanted me to hold you."

She glared at me-or tried to, at least. It was weak, but the irritation was there, and I couldn't help but smile wider. "I didn't... ask for this," she whispered, sounding both exhausted and exasperated.
