5. Happy fellow

Somewhere in a dark alley

Harry walked to a rusty door. Uma watched as he banged on the door. A cheerful guy opened the door.

"Harry! You came! You finally accepting my offer of joining your crew!" Said the happy fellow.Harry has look of disdain.

"No." He said. The boy frowned before smiling again.

"That's okay. Maybe next time." Said the guy with hope in his eyes. Uma was surprised that the happy fellow still had aura of innocence to him. Most of villian kids had the innocence beaten out of them in preschool. Isle kids learn early on not trust anyone. People don't even like admitting friendships because it paint a target on their back for betrayal or be use as a weakness. Allies are the closest thing to friendship and crew is the tighter group of trust a person can have on the isle.

"Oh! Hi I am Gil." Said Gil as he greets Uma. Uma looked at caution. Gil is masking his true self and Uma didn't going to be fooled.

"Gil, you mentioned you are allies with guy at the unloading dock."said Harry. Gil nodded proudly. Being worker at unloading dock is like a gold mine. They get first picks on supplies on ship sent from auradon. Nobody allowed in the area until unloading is done. There are auradon guards to ensure the ship return in one piece. Especially after Uma stole one of their ship before.

"We need something to break this."said Harry. He gestured to the cuffs. Gil was examining the cuff when he notice Uma nails.

"That turquoise color goes amazing with you hair." Said Gil. Uma smiled softly. Compliments are rarely around here. So Uma shyly agreed it.m

"Thank you. It took me so forever to mix the perfect color." Said Uma. Gil looked interested as he listen to Uma explain painting color difficulties.

"You can paint each other nails later. Focus." Said Harry. Gil nodded.

"We need a pick axe from one of the dwarfs. That should be strong enough to break this." Said Uma. Gil grimaced.

They can only steal off the supply ship. They can't request things direct from auradon. Gil explains this to uma. She was disappointed but didn't show it.

"But I heard the Snow White send her mother the wicked witch letters in hopes of mending their relationship."said Gil.

"But that woman hasn't been seen since maleficent challenged her for leadership of the isle." Harry points out.

"We have to find her." Said uma.

"Can I help?!" Asked Gil excitedly.

"No." Said harry while Uma nodded. Harry glared at her.

"He is a nuisance."said harry. Gil pouted. Uma shrugged.

" he has potential." She said. Uma could see Gil being a loyal member for her crew one day. Gil is eager and very friendly which can help charm other people.

"You need to stop thinking with ya tits. Focus on getting out of these cuffs!" Said harry. He glared at her. Uma narrowed her eyes as she resist the urge to knock him out. She didn't want he dragging his body around. So she slapped him instead. Harry was about to slap her back when Uma grabbed his hand to stop him. She twisted his wrist in an odd angle as she spoke.

"I am using my head unlike you. If you were, you wouldn't be questioning me right now." She said. Harry grit his teeth as he tried not hissed in pain. Gil watched the two pirates with slightly fear.

Gil seen a lot of fights between people before. Usually it just intimidation move and doesn't end in a lot of bloodshed. Harry is known for spilling blood at drop of a hat while Uma doesn't lose fights. Gil truly believes that if they went head to head. Someone will die. Gil sigh in relief when Uma let go of Harry. Harry didn't retaliate.

Gil was surprised Harry didn't fight back.harry usually has the last word. Gil looked at Uma with proud smirk. Gil has been trying for few years to get Harry to be his friend. It seems like Uma cracked the code. He definitely needs to study for methods.

"Can I be in your crew?" Asked Gil. Uma looked at Gil with shock. Nobody ever request to be in someone crew. People just naturally form clicks and become a crew. But Uma isn't in rush in add more members to her tight knit crew.

" I think about it. But for now try get us more information about the wicked queen whereabouts." Said Uma. Gil nodded before happily running away. Uma turned to look at Harry. Harry was still examining his wrist for damage.

"Don't question me in front of others."she said. Harry scoffed.

"I ain't one of you little lackeys. I do what I want." He said as he continued to look at his wrist that was slightly red. Uma yanked back her cuffed hand. Harry looked at her.

"In case you forgot, you are struck with me. I don't tolerate disrespect. Look at me when I am talking to you." She said. Harry look at her with fake fear.

"Oh no. I upset miss captain. I am shaking in my boots." He said sarcastically. Then he stared down into her fierce eyes. " I ain't scared you, Uma darling." He adds.

"Don't care if you fear me. You just gotta respect me." She said before walking away. They went back to Uma job. They worked until close.

Harry was more helpful in closing. Uma finished up quicker than usual. They went upstairs. Uma took her hat off at the door before going to couch to lay down on her belly. Harry stood next to the couch.

"What are you doing?" Asked Harry.

"Relaxing." She said. Harry suddenly sat on her lower back and place his feet on the table in front of the couch.

"Get off."she growled.

"Nope. I am relaxing."said Harry. He grabbed a magazine off the table and laid back against the couch. Uma sighed. She was too tired to toss him off her. So she started daydreaming at how wonderful it was be if the barrier was gone. Her dream about a better future for her and rest of the VK's.  She thought about being in the open oceans and the adventure she could have. She didn't realize that the weight of cuff mate was soothing her into sleep.

Harry was reading the magazine about old fashion trends. He didn't noticed Uma was sleeping until he placed the magazine back on the table. He looked at the sleeping pirate. He noticed she looks more peaceful sleeping.

He could woke her up but then he would have deal with a cranky Uma. He decided not poke the bear for once and starts thinking of ways to trick Uma into being his ally once they are out of the handcuffs.
