Toby's POV:
I had my hands on Kayla's arms and was shaking her. She was thrashing about before, but now was perfectly still. "Kayla!" I called. She began thrashing again. "Kayla, it's okay!" I shout. She stops, and her eyes slowly open. When she sees my face she throws her arms around my neck. "Toby!" She cries. I pull her into a tight hug. Tears run down my face, but they only show how happy I am. I pull Kayla into a deep kiss, and she doesn't object. When we pull apart she asks me how long she's been out. "Two weeks." I say. She gasps. "No." She says. I nod. For two weeks they kept me in a padded cell here in this hospital, trying to get me to answer questions. But I only ever asked about Kayla. Was she alright, did she wake up, was she even alive... For a long time I was afraid she wasn't. One day, I'd had enough of questions. Some rage boiled up to the brim inside of me, and I charged the door. Even without my hatchets this was too easy. After three times of ramming it the door broke. All my stuff was in a small box in the next room, and I gladly took it all. After that I went on a killing spree, killing anyone that got in my way. When I finally found Kayla's room she was sound asleep. No one was inside, so I went into the room and locked the door. After securing the room, I had waited for Kayla to wake up. And now she had. "What was making you so jumpy?" I asked, pulling her close to me. Kayla told me of her odd dream, but I just shrugged it off. "Probably just the meds." I say. She nods, and agrees to this theory. "We should probably go." I say after sometime of us just seeing each other. "We need to reunite with Masky and Hoodie, and I have a place that's safe for you to go." She smiles and nods. She puts on her older bloodstained clothes in the bathroom, then looks at me. I'm covered with dripping blood, but in her eyes I see passion and love. I love this girl so much. She asks for some knives, and I gladly giver her all her knives. After that we run through the hospital, killing people as we went. Kayla laughed with glee as she slit the throat of some stuck up nurse that was shouting at some kids for being too loud. Before we left the hospital, Kayla said she had a thought. Taking the blood of her last victim, she wrote on the wall "We're just warming up."
Then she took my hand and we ran to the tree house. We gathered out things and made sure this place looked just as deserted as it did before. Masky and Hoodie had already gathered their things, and I had a pretty good idea of where they were. Kayla and I ran through the woods for hours, and I was worried her injury would make it hard for her to keep up. But never once did she complain. After some time, we arrived at a huge manor I very much recognized. "Kayla," I said, taking her hand into mine. "Welcome to Slender Mansion."
---
Two months later:
I woke with a start in my bed. It had been hard, getting used to life here at Slender Manor. Toby had helped me adjust, along with Masky and Hoodie. Surprisingly enough, they said they didn't even own the house. Which was weird, because they seemed to live here. But I didn't question it. Almost every night, though, I've been having a re-accruing nightmare. That same man from my dream in the hospital would be there, telling me to use my powers he gave me. Every time I told him no, he would cause tremors of pain to course through my body. I was constantly waking up in a cold sweat. But...it was just a dream. I looked outside. The sun was just coming up, but I had the urge to go kill. It had been growing stronger ever since that day in the hospital, and I needed to kill. Now. I left my room and snuck down the hall into Toby's room. He was still asleep. Like always. Sighing, I tossed a pillow at his head. He groaned and sat up. "Too early for this..." He mumbled when I told him I wanted to go killing. "Then I'll go alone." I say. Toby's eyes widen and he shakes his head. I laugh. "Then hurry up!" I say, walking out of the room and to the living room. He hasn't let me go anywhere without him since my near-death experience. At first it had been sweet, but now it was getting annoying. But I still lived him. When Toby FINALLY came downstairs he was wearing his mask and glasses, and his hatchets were in his belt. I had on myself a black jumpsuit, with lots of places to hide knives. And other sharp objects. We walk outside and start looking for some lone people. Right away I spot a couple making out on a bench. I tap Toby and make a face, pointing at the couple. He chuckles and pulls out a hatchet. As he takes the guy, I take the girl and clamp a hand over her mouth so she can't scream. "Bye bye." I say. Then I slit her throat with my favorite knife. We put their bodies back on the bench in plain sight, and I leave a message. "Love can be sickening." I leave these at almost every  kill. Just as a signature. As we walk down the streets, looking for more people to kill, I get a weird feeling. Like I'm being watched. I turn around and look to the woods. For a moment, I think I see a long black cloak covering someone. But when I blink, the cloak is gone, and I shake off the sighting as just my imagination. Toby and I go off killing, then return back to the manor. He goes back to sleep, while I fix myself breakfast. This is my life now. Masky comes downstairs asking for pancakes, Hoodie stumbling after. My life revolves around these killers. But, these killers are my friends. And, I'm a killer myself. So the city better watch it's back. Cause I'm coming to paint it's streets. In red.
