"Right then. All that's left is... your pet and your wand," his mother said, carefully tucking the Hogwarts letter into her handbag.

"Will you be choosing an owl, Remus?" his father asked, walking beside him. The boy nodded eagerly.

"I want to write to you every week," he said with determination

The interior was a vibrant, bustling chaos. A winding queue of customers stretched all the way to the main counter, where attendants handed over cages containing restless owls. Along the aisles, curious children pressed their noses against the bars, admiring each bird and debating which one would suit them best. Several owls flew freely beneath the vaulted ceiling, wings flapping between the beams, occasionally shedding a feather that drifted lazily through the air.
