Chapter 4

A week later

I didn't get to tell Greg about the pregnancy because we both been so busy lately. So I was going to tell him tonight at dinner. I made shrimp Alfredo with snow crab. His favorite. I had the house cleaned and smelling good to. I was about to take a shower when my phone rang.

" Hello." I said looking at the caller ID.

" Sapphire?"

" Yes may I ask who is this."

" Its Mike."

" Oh. Hi Mike. Is everything okay."

" No Greg got shot when we got called in for a bank robbery. He tried to stop the suspect and they shot him." I felt my heart drop.

" Where is he?"

" They took him to your hospital."

" Okay I'm on my way." I then hung up. I felt the tears whelming up in my eyes. I grabbed my keys and was out the door. On my way there I called his mom and told them to meet me there.
When I got there I parked and jumped out. Kelly was at the desk. And when she saw me she stood up.

" Where is he?"

" He's still surgery." I wanted to break down and cry. She came around and hugged me tightly.

" Its going to be okay. He is fine." Kelly got me to calm down I was now sitting in waiting room with his coworkers family and friends. I couldn't imagine my baby growing up with out a father like me. The thought only got me more mad. His Captain came over to talk to me. She was a really nice women.

" I promise that I will catch those fuckers."

" Thank you." I smiled

4 hours later

I was half sleep when one of the doctors, Dr. Patrick can in. I jumped up and walked over to him.

" Is he okay?" I asked.

" He bleed out a lot, but we was able to stop the blood and pull out the bullets. He is very strong. He is still asleep but is in room 345.

Me and his mom went in first. My baby was hooked up to all types of machines. I look at his heart rate and it was normal. I held his hand and kissed his forehead. I was more then happy he was okay.

The next day

I was at the hospital checking up on Greg. They called me and told me he opened his eyes. I was so happy. I walked into the room to see my baby up. He smiled when he seen me.

" Hi stinka. U scared me."

" I'm sorry baby ."

" I'm gald your better now. Because I have something to tell u."

" You leaving me?"

" No. I'm pregnant." His face lit up. He was happy.

" yesssssss! I'm going to be a dad " He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. I leaned in and we kissed for a minute or two." I love u."

" I love you to baby."

Simone P.O.V.

Tonight I was going out to the Club with my girl Kelly and Tracy. I was looking good tonight. I wore a skin right halter black dress with a deep V cut in the middle. I wore my black 6 inch red bottoms. I had my hair up in a neat high ponytail. I grabbed my black Chanel shoulder bag and was ready to go. I was looking like everything.

BEEP! BEEP!

That had to be the girls. I turned off the lights and locked up the house.
I walked out to the car and got in the back.

" Damn bitch you trying to snatch you up a nigga tonight huh." Kelly said. Me and Kelly are cool. She works with my girl Sapphire at a hospital. She also is with my brother Trey. Dee is cool to but she a party girl to much. I can't front when I got out with her I have a ball.

We pulled up to club Freaky minutes later. We parked and went in. You know we don't go to no party with out a V.I.P pass. As soon as we got to that section we started ordering drinks. We was having a ball . An hour or so later Trey pulled up with a couple of his friends. One of them was sexy as hell. He was tall dark skin with pearl white teeth. He smiled at me when he noticed me staring.

" Ya'll turning up " Trey said holding Kelly from the back

" Come on,Trey you know how we do." Dee said.
The whole time I could feel dudes eyes on me.

" Yo this my man, Dante.Dante this my sister Simone and her girl Dee. U know Kelly."

" Nice to meet you." He said. To both of us but looking at me.

" Like wise."

" Let me buy you a drink."

"Sure. You can get me whatever you like. "

" Okay." He ordered me a drink and told me to sit next to him. He pulled out some weed and started rolling up.

" Ma you look real good with that dress on."

" Thank you." We sat and chat for what felt like forever. He has a 3 year old daughter who he is raising alone with the help of his mom. He own a club in Atlanta and he's been a business man most of his life. I was really feeling him.

3:21 a.m.

After the club Dante offered to take me out to get some breakfast. I agreed. We got into his black Benz and was out. We went to Perkins, my favorite. We sat and talked until the waitress brought out our food.

" You like owning a hair salon."

" Yeah its cool. It brings in a lot of money."

" That's whassup. So let me ask you this. Why you don't got a man "

" I had a man but he couldnt keep his lil man in his pants next thing I know he got a baby."

" Wow. He foul for that. I would never do you like that. You should be getting treated like a queen." I blushed.

" I know. Why don't you have a girls "

" Cause I don't do girls. I do women."

" You know what I mean."

" Well ever since Saniahs mom died I just don't want to bring just some girl around. I need something real. All these bitches want is my money."

" Okay. Well I got my own money. So no need for ya funds." He laughed.

" I like that and respect that." We ate and he took me home. He even walked me to my door.

" I hope I can see you again."

" Me to." He pulled me in and kissed my forehead.

" Good night beautiful " He said walking back wards to his car. I walked into my house and got ready for bed.

A few days later

Me and Dante been hanging out alot. He is such a sweet heart. I love it. I was at the salon in my office thinking about him when my phone rang.

"Hello."

" Whassup sexy." It was Dante.

" Hey you."

" Can I come scoop you and take you out for lunch."

" Sure. I'll be waiting."

" ight sexy, I'm on my way." He then hung up.
