*Bridget's POV

Once I close the door I lean against the wall and slide down until I'm sitting on the floor. I touch my face, feeling a blush that was still on my cheeks from when he turned back, smiling at me, before he left. I can't believe this boy has such an effect on me. Ever since my interview he's been all I could think of and after today I'm almost positive it'll be even worse. When my ex left me stranded at that club a few weeks ago I was sure I'd never find someone else, never let them get that close to me, but with Niall it just comes so naturally. I mean, of course I can barely get out my sentences at times, but it just seems so different being around him then all the other boys. It feels like we've been friends forever, and I can't say that about most people, seeing as I pushed away almost everyone except Kristi, who was too stubborn to give up on me like everyone else.

My phone buzzes, interrupting my train of thought and I look down to see a message from Kristi.

'Hey Bridgie, sorry I won't be able to make it for lunch, we're tied over at work:( I'm getting off early though, so maybe we can go shopping when I get home!! And don't forget, you have this Niall boy to explain! Haha -Kristi xx.'

I groan, wishing I would have gotten that message before I sent Niall off. I get up and walk into the kitchen, finding the package of noodles Niall had left sitting on the counter. I smile and start warming them up, setting up plans with Kristi for later as I wait. Once the noodles finish I pour them into a bowl and go out to the living room that's still a mess. I attempt to do some quick cleaning before I sit down to eat and almost trip as I bend down to grab the DVD we had watched earlier. I read the back, wondering if Niall had liked the movie. Maybe I'm spending too much time thinking about Niall. I doubt he's thinking of me, maybe a girls night shopping will help me clear my mind.

*Niall's POV

As I walk down the steps of the flat, I turn around to see Bridget watching me go and flash a smile before I get in my car. I was so surprised by today, I thought she wouldn't even remember me from the office, but instead it was like I was just meeting up with an old friend. Her soft brown eyes were so calming, and I felt like I could just be myself around her. Maybe Ricardo was right, I think to myself as I start the ignition. Maybe I really am smitten with her, her tinkling laugh and clumsiness just adding to the picture in my mind of the cute girl from the interview.

I start to circle around the neighborhood, not quite sure where where to go. I can't go back to the office, Ric would ask too many questions, and home's so empty and quiet, I try to stay away from there as much as possible. As I drive around the block for the third time, I notice a small playground with some kids playing tag and a few older kids on skateboards. I drive into the parking lot and sit there for a while thinking, but the weather soon makes the car too hot to sit in so I go out and lay on one of the benches next to the jungle gym, letting the sun warm my face. I begin to nod off, the sounds of the kids running and laughing seeming to fade away. Maybe I could bring Bridget here sometime, I feel a smile spread on my face, remembering how I promised to make her lunch. It seemed like a nice place to have a picnic, and maybe we could go when she starts work next week to celebrate her first day on the job. It's so relaxing out here, and in no time I must fall asleep because I wake up to one of the kid's soccer balls bouncing off my stomach and hearing shouts and yells to kick it back. The sun looks lower in the sky and while I go to get the ball I wonder how long I had been sleeping. Ricardo would kill me if I turned in Bridget's schedule late. I kick the ball back to the kids, and though they ask me to join for a game, I have to take off.

When I walk into the office many people are already finishing up with clients or getting ready to go. I wave to Gloria, the secretary, and race down the hall to Ricardo's office. I find him sitting behind his desk filing the last of his paperwork for the day. I take a moment to catch my breath, relieved that I wasn't too late.

"What took you so long? Hot date??" Ricardo looks up, raises an eyebrow and laughs at me.

"I just stopped at a park for a quick nap," I huff, still out of breath.

Ric frowns, "Aw, I was hoping for something juicier." he goes back to his paperwork shaking his head and muttering while I take a seat across the room. I smirk, Ric's obsessed with gossip.

"We did watch a movie though," I say as I lean back in the chair.

Ricardo's head snaps up as I continue, "It was a good movie, a little cheesy for my tastes, but pretty good.. And I was gonna cook for her, but she had plans with her roommate."

Ric is now leaning over his desk to catch every word, "Is that all, you didn't kiss, nothing?"

"Ric, calm down man, it was nice.. I think I like her.."

He chuckles, "I can't believe it. You, thinking about getting serious with a girl, is she really that special?"

I nod and get up to plop Bridget's schedule on his desk, making it clear that he wouldn't get any more out of me. He sits there for a moment, dumbfounded then smiles.

"I never thought this day would come, damn boy, you finally found someone!", Ric gushes as I start to leave his office.

I turn back and grin, "I sure hope so."
