before we start, i don't know when American schools start, so i will be following when my country's school starts.

star's pov | 6:30am | February 15th 2024

a new year, ─ a new school year, jeez being in high school when being a freshman sucks, let's pray i don't get bullied or something.

i got up early, it was a new school year for me, man i didn't know i would pass my exams, but here i am. honestly, i don't wake up this early, but my mom decided it was a new school year AND woke me up for it, wow, i just wanted my beauty sleep.

i walked to my bathroom, as my eyes sleepily tried to stay open, i washed my face and teeth, feeling awake now, i went to my drawer on what i wanted to wear, a baggy white shirt and some baggy black pants with a jacket was what i chose .

i checked the time once again, it was 7:30am, i grabbed my backpack and walked to the living room, "mom, i am gonna head out," i said, as i heard my mom hum in response. "be safe!" she yelled, i yelled back a 'i will' before putting on my shoes and racing out the door.

"this girl, i swear to god" i said, before plugging in my earphones to listen to some zerobaseone. as i strolled through the songs, i picked melting point, knowing it was my favorite.

Yeah, yeah"

as the lyrics started, i could feel a bit of coldness through my body, i placed my hands in my pockets, as the wind hit my face.

"What happened to me?

i soon reached the school, i stood there, taking in a deep breath, was i ready. well no, i wasn't ready for a fresh new start.

"활짝 웃는 네 눈이

i walked inside, it felt a bit warm inside, maybe due to the students running and talking. as the song kept playing, i suddenly bumped into someone which made me fall down.

"oh my god! are you okay? i am sorry!?" it was a girl, she was much taller than me, it seems like she might be a senior, behind her were three boys who also looked concerned.

"y-yeah, i am, um i am sorry i wasn't looking where i was going." i said, getting up from the floor. "why are you sorry? it is my fault, i was running and bumped into you." the girl replied.

"you seem new to this school, first time?" one of the boys asked, i nodded, "oh my god! you're so cute! oh i forgot to introduce myself, i am hope, nice to meet you" the girl ─ hope said, i smiled.

"u-um, i am star, nice to meet you." i said, quite nervous about meeting new people, "your name is pretty like you!" another boy spoke up, i looked up, making eye contact with him.

"i am alexander, everyone calls me alex for short, i am french like the other two boys here." alex said, i smiled, ─ meeting new people who are from different countries, that's new for me.

"well since we are introducing ourselves, i am emile, but everyone calls me emi for short and this is antoine," emi introduced himself and antoine, ─ i think i need time to learn how to pronounce antoine.

"do you have discord? we have a few more people to introduce you too." hope asked, i nodded, "it's mnsvngieee with the seventeen dk profile pic. " i said, before noticing their expressions changed.

"are you a carat?" emi asked, ─ did i just find carats on my first day?! "yes, i am a 8star and huihui." i said, i could've sworn i saw stars in their eyes.

"i thought it was only us who knew them! gosh the amount of people that stared at me when i talked about seungkwan." alex responded, i laughed,

"it isn't a laughing matter, star!"

"it is way too funny not to laugh though, alex!"

"i can already see you two will be chaotic bestfriends, i see the vision." antoine said, "this isn't the show 'raven's house' you can't just see a vision." i said.

"wait, don't we have class to attend?" i asked, they shook their heads, "since it is the first day of school, they give us a free day instead of letting us stay home." emi explained, with the others humming in response.

"ohhh"

"so we have the whole day to get to know each other, and hang out!"

third person pov | 12:30pm

star and her new friends sat at the school ground, hanging out with each other, their conversations filled with laughter, giggles and talk about random stuff.

this was the first time in awhile that star had laughed properly,

"why is alex simping for boo seungkwan again?" star asked, as she sat next to hope. "it is his daily routine, at this point" hope replied with boredom in her voice.

the four watched as the french yapped on boo seungkwan until the lunch bell rang, "aw man i was about done!" alex said as he crossed his arms like a kid.

"well too bad alexa," star asked as she patted the older's shoulder ─ alex playfully rolled his eyes on the younger.

"i mean we do have the whole day, we can just hang out!" antoine said, ─ lighting up the mood of the moment.

"hey guys i just saw a girl"

"what are you, lesbian?"

"i better be, that girl was pretty to exist" star said, "you are simping, sweetie." Alex said, ─ as he patted the younger's hair.

"touch my hair, i will murder you."

"i will, you lesbian"

"try me, you boo seungkwan simp."

"oh i have had it, come here you menace!"

"y'all are acting like CHILDREN!!" hope said as she hit alex's and star's head to stop them from chasing each other.

"who are you, the mother of the group?"

"yes, i will hit you again if you don't stop."

"guys i have a girlfriend" antoine randomly said, making the group shocked and stop everything

"WHAT??"

"i thought you were gay, man."

"STAR WHAT? HOW DID YOU THINK THAT?"

"anyways, who's the lucky girl?" hope asked. "her name is taylor," antoine said, "like taylor swift?" alex said, making star burst out into laughter.

"TAYLOR SWIFT HAHAHAHH"
