Amruta pov:

I washed my hands and left the washroom. I just turned around the corner to bump into Virat!

"Did you find your brother?" was his question.

Huh?

"You went to check on them, didn't you? Where are they?" he asked me.

"Ohh they are on the way, they'll come later", I said.

"Good"

Good! Now what do we do?

"I didn't get to introduce myself earlier, Hi I am Amruta Chitnis", I said forwarding my hand for a handshake.

He stared at my hand. Dude just shake it. I am trying to make a truce.

"Virat Singh Ahuja, CEO of Ahuja Inc"

Okay cool nice!

"I wanted to tell you something, I mean request you-"

"Sure go ahead", he said cutting me in between.

This dude seriously! Who does he think he is? Calm down girl, calm down. Take a deep breath.

"You know what happened yesterday? I hope you don't tell anyone about that incident." I tried to initiate a conversation.

He just nodded his head at me.

Silence. More Silence.

"I heard you are still in college. Which college have you joined?", He asked.

Is he trying to make conversation with me? Good, at least he's trying.

"It's St. Teresa College. I am fashion designing student in my last year. Actually, I was studying in New York but then I shifted here. And I'll be-"

"Amruta" I was cut off by my brother, "What are you doing here?"

"I was looking for you both. Mom and Dad are waiting come on", I said and started dragging my brother towards the table.

"And bhai what were you doing here?", I heard Nimrit Bhabhi asking her brother.

"The food was good, wasn't it?" My mom said to dad.

I was removing my shoes. My brother already went upstairs.

"We had a great time together", my dad said.

"Yeah, but your daughter wasn't speaking to anyone there!", My mom said looking at me with narrowed eyes.

"Mom aap logo mei mai kya baat karu?" If I talk between them she'll have a problem. If I don't talk she'll have a problem.

(What should I talk about with you guys?)

"But you should speak something na! Look at how Nimrit was talking with everyone, and you know Babita was talking about Nimrit's hobbies. She knows how to cook, she'll manage this house so well. I am tension free now."

My mom and her talk.

"Good night Mom and Dad!" I said and went upstairs.

"Chaar baatein achhi batao aur isko kabhi sun na nahi hota!" I heard my mom complain.

(I tell her a few good things but she never listens)
