Kitabon ki un sannaton mein,
Jahaan parchaiyaan hain aur roshni bhi kam,
Kartik ne uska ek jhalak dekha,
Behta sa ujala, khwabon ka rekha.

Uski nazar thi thandi, uska jahaan door,
Parivar ke waadon mein phansa tha noor.
Par us khamoshi mein chhupi thi baat,
Ek bechaini thi, par thi woh raat.

Kartik ke dil ko bas itna kaafi tha,
Ek pal ki nazar, ek nasha jaise rahe shafa.
Woh uske hone ka ehsaas, gehra aur gehra,
Jaise usne likh diya ho pyaar ka kuch likha.

"Priya," woh dheere se keh gaya,
Ek naam jo uske dil mein reh gaya.
Usne usse khojne ki chahat ki,
Us aise ilaaqon mein jo bas kitabon mein likhi.

Par Priya ki thi ek aakhri kasam,
Pita ke sapno ke saath bandh gayi thi woh janam.
Parivar ke waadon mein uljhi thi zindagi,
Aur pyaar ne dastak di thi abhi.

Woh uske saamne aati, phir door ho jaati,
Ek unsuni si baat, jo kehne mein sharmati.
Par har mulaqat mein, dil uska dhokha kha gaya,
Kartik ki aankhon mein usne apna sapna paaya.

Ek shaam phir library mein mila,
Usne apni dil ki baatein thodi se khula.
Usne uski madad se padne mein kho diya,
Aur us pal mein apne dil ko bhool gaya.

Uske paas aate hi, usne dekha use,
Woh kho gayi uske chehre ki roshni mein,
Aur jab Kartik ne bhi uski aankhon mein dekha,
Ek pal ko unka sansar wohi reh gaya.

Ek nazar, ek sans, ek chup ka imaan,
Chhupi thi unmein ek pyar ki dastaan.
Jaise ek anjaani ghazal likhi gayi thi,
Ek chhupi hui mohabbat ki bayaan si thi.

Kartik ke liye yeh pyar tha gehra aur saaf,
Ek atoot bandhan, ek noor ka alfaaz.
Priya ke liye yeh pyar tha shant aur dhire,
Ek chamak, ek roshni, bas uske pass rahe.

Jaise pyaar aur waadon mein ladai chhid gayi.

Kyunki duniya chahe jitna bhi bandh de,
Unki aankhon mein pyaar ka rang bas gaya.
Aur har mulaqat, woh pal ko ghera,
Doosri siyaahi ka ehsaas unke beech badhta gaya.

"Kahin toh likha hai, safar yeh dono ka,
Chupke se rang rahi hai pyaar ki siyaahi,
In khamosh lamhon mein woh phir khilte hain,
Ek aashna sapna, ek shaayar ki paheli hai."

In the Library of Silence: A Poem for Kartik and Priya

In the quiet halls of endless books,
Where shadows danced and daylight shook,
Kartik saw her, a fleeting sight,
Amidst the shelves, bathed in light.

Her gaze was calm, her world afar,
Bound by a promise, a family scar,
Yet in her silence, something lay—
A quiet yearning, kept at bay.

For Kartik’s heart, it was enough,
A single glance, his world rebuffed.
He felt her presence deep and strong,
As if she'd filled his heart with song.

"Priya," he whispered, though she’d not hear,
A name that lingered, sweet and clear.
He sought her out, in ways unseen,
Through endless aisles, in shades of green.

But Priya held a silent vow,
A pact made long before somehow.
To her father’s will, her life was tied,
While love knocked gently, just outside.

So, she’d see him, then turn away,
Ignoring words she’d never say.
But each time they met, her heart betrayed,
In Kartik’s eyes, she felt swayed.

They met again, one library night,
Her guard slipped down, her heart took flight.
He leaned in close, his voice so near,
And for a moment, she lost her fear.

She watched him speak, his gentle gaze,
The way he moved, her thoughts ablaze.
And when he caught her staring back,
She felt the world turn soft and black.

Their eyes entwined in silent prose,
In verses deep that neither chose.
One look, one breath, a love confessed,
A hidden longing, unexpressed.

For Kartik, love was fierce and bright,
A tethered soul, his heart's pure light.
For Priya, love was soft and slow,
A quiet flame she’d yet to show.

But promises weighed heavy still,
Like rain that clouds a daisy’s will.
She turned away, her voice confined,
Leaving only Kartik behind.

Yet, somewhere deep in her, she knew,
This love was more than she could subdue.
With each goodbye, a tear she'd hide,
As love and duty fought inside.

For though the world would keep them bound,
In library halls, their hearts were found.
And with each meeting, soft and sweet,
They felt the second ink of love complete.

"Somewhere, this journey is written,
The ink of love is coloring in silence,
In moments of pain, they bloom anew,
A familiar dream, a poet’s riddle true."
