One night, when Taehyung entered his room assigned to him for guest accommodation, he was left aghast by the luxuries surrounding his head. The decoration of the room was not that simple of a decoration for a simple guestroom; it felt more like the kind of room where a treasured family member would be located.
The bed was a grand affair, the sheets soft and expensive, and furnishings tasteful chosen from those that suit the luxurious feel of the Jeon mansion. But in spite of that comfort, there was something creepy, almost too-perfect about the place, as if it had been built to his specifications.
He lay down on the plush bed, wearied by the day's turn of events, but he hadn't sunk into its softness for more than a second before his phone rang. He looked at the screen and a smile spread wide across his face as he saw the caller ID.
He pressed the phone to his ear and heard a soft voice sounding very familiar, "Hello, how are you, my love?"
Taehyung's grin grew even wider and he giggled, "Of course I'm fine,what about you?"
The voice on the other end chuckled warmly. "Now that I've heard your voice I'm doing well.heheh and since your in seoul we gotta meet up!
He grinned to himself, prideful. "You won't believe it, but I'm working for the Jeon company. Kind of exciting, actually. People are nice, and I am staying for a few days at their estate.".
There was a moment of dead air on the other end of the line before another low chuckle. "That's impressive, baby. But as proud as I am of you, I really want to see you. Please, Taehyung. I miss you. Let's meet tomorrow."
There was sincerity in his voice, and Taehyung's heartbeat fluttered hard enough to nearly stop his breath. Already forward to that, he bit his lip sharply. "Alright, we'll meet tomorrow at the café. I'll text you the details.".
"Good," replied the voice, relieved. "I want to see you. Sleep tight, my love."
With a soft laugh, Taehyung said, “You too. Goodnight.” He hung up, feeling a sense of warmth in his chest as he placed his phone on the nightstand.
Third person pov;
A tall man stood on the high floor of an exquisite penthouse with night hiding him in its dark. The lights of the city below twinkled on like stars, but he was looking upwards. There was a sly smirk on his lips.
He was holding one glass of whiskey in his hands, with amber liquid swirling lazily as he gazed at the view that hung balanced before him with a calculating calmness.After Taehyung's call, a low, wicked guffaw slipped out of his throat in the quiet of the room. "Oh, my innocent Tae Tae. Do you really believe that I did not know where you found a job? My baby. I was the one who made it all happen."
He took a slow sip of the whiskey, savoring the burn as he relished the power he held over Taehyung’s life. His eyes gleamed with cold satisfaction, the night reflecting his twisted intent.
“When I manipulated the selection criteria in the Jeon family,” he continued, his voice dripping with arrogance, “it was always meant for you to come to Seoul. And now that my plan worked...”
He tilted his head back, and his expression, a dark grin, with possessiveness and danger, was quite cutting as he pronounced, "I'll trap you in my golden cage, where you will belong to me. forever.".
The city lights seemed distant and insignificant compared to the twisted plans he had laid out for Taehyung. In his mind, every step had led to this moment—the perfect trap set, the innocent prey lured in.
He chuckled again, his fingers tightening around the glass, as the night grew colder, reflecting the darkness that had taken root in his heart.
