YOU WERE UP BRIGHT AND EARLY. Unfortunately, it was against your will.

You had been awoken by a cold breath in your ear, and you were pretty sure Grim was curled up on the end of the bed (you could feel his comforting weight on your legs), so whoever was breathing in your ear was not supposed to be in your bed. Cracking an eye open, you were greeted with the sights of the ghosts from earlier- so needless to say it did not go down well. For now, it seemed the ghosts would stay far away from you.

But it also looked like you couldn't sleep, so you found yourself outside of Ramshackle at an ungodly time in the morning. Technically Crowley didn't explicitly say you weren't supposed to go out, so it was fine. Probably. Sure.

"Okay, so which way is...everything?" You murmured, beginning to walk away from Ramshackle, vaguely remembering the directions. Was it a left or right? Or was it straight on? You honestly didn't care, as you had no real clue to where you were going. In all honesty, you needed a break. Between waking up in a coffin, Grim attacking you, the stupid Dark Mirror verbally assaulting you, Crowley, and the ghosts, you had not had a moment actually to process what was happening to you. When Crowley had finally left you and Grim alone yesterday, you had just collapsed into bed, your energy depleted. But now you had the chance to mull everything over, and let it sink in: You were not home.

Somehow, you had ended up in another world where magic was real, cats and mirrors could talk, and boys were unfairly cute. You had no idea how you had gotten here, and it looked as though you had no way to get back. You were relying on the kindness of an eccentric narcissist, and thanks to said narcissist, you were also a janitor at an all-boys school. You had no way of contacting anyone, and you didn't even know for sure if you were alive back home. Do they miss me? You wonder, walking aimlessly; Your mother, father, your brother, your friends, did they miss you? Did they even know you were alive? Did they think you were dead? You come to the sickening realization that you probably would never see them again. You wouldn't wake up to your mothers singing and cooking, wouldn't play chess with your father, wouldn't be able to talk to your brother, wouldn't watch shitty romcoms with your friends, for you couldn't go home. You were trapped here.

Without realizing it, you had walked into a forest and found yourself sinking against a tree, thoughts swirling through your head. You remembered all those times you had fervently wished for something exciting to happen to you, for a tragic accident to occur, anything to make your boring life more interesting. But it seemed as though the gods had granted your wish. You were now reaping the consequences. You could try to act brave all you wanted, but it wouldn't hide the fact that you were scared. You were fucking terrified. You had no one to rely on, no one to talk to you apart from a cat who was most definitely a sociopath, and a head mage whose head was too far up his ass to communicate properly. And making 'friends' with any of these boys was bound to be a disaster. Hormonal teenage boys who probably have never interacted with the other gender + the other gender = bad. You were alone. And that scared you. More than the magic, ghosts, and Grim, being alone terrified you. You could hold your own, yes, and you had above-average intelligence, but you never functioned well when you were alone.

You felt a wetness growing on your cheeks, and you were embarrassed to say you were crying. You didn't know what had gotten into you. "Yuu- pull it together. So what if your alone? So what if you probably can't get home? It's never stopped you before. You've never been in this situation before so just do what you do best- adapt. Who knows? Maybe the people here are kinder than they look." Slapping your hands across your cheeks, you pulled yourself together and rose to your feet.
