"Well, I've booked us a cab to the station and I've closed our cases. Anything else that needs doing?" He asked with his hair all over and his clothes in disarray. He was clearly too small to be lugging cases almost as large as him. Especially with his robe trailing behind him.

"I think we're ready. The letter said we had to report by 11. I think we'll make it in time. And remember Math's letter. We have to walk through the wall. Also Ro, I think you'd like to look in a mirror before we leave." Alexandra finished with making the tea and poured it into their mother's favourite cup. They'd arranged for a nurse from the Muggle hospital to visit the house once a day and check on their mother. It had only been possible thanks to their uncle and their cousin.

They rode to King's Cross in silence. Neither of them had been away from their mother for longer than a few days at a time. Spending nearly three months without her felt foreign and somewhat liberating. The sorting was also something weighing on their minds, it would decide the rest of their lives quite literally.

When they finally reached the station Rolf paid the driver and they got a trolley for their belongings. They'd gotten an owl to share. Andarna, Alexandra had christened. The owl didn't look in the least bit fazed by the cab ride

"Did the letter say where he'd wait for us?" Rolf asked, using his strength to push the trolley, Alexandra smiled at him and helped. She was his older sister after all, even if by only a few minutes. Rolf's mop of blonde hair had been combed back and he'd ironed his shirt again. They adored Mathew and making a good impression was important to them both. Alexandra herself had washed her brown locks that she'd inherited from her mother. Except for their hair colour, the Scamander twins looked exactly alike well, their hair and gender of course.

"He said to meet him on platform nine and three quarters. I suppose he's arrived early to meet his friends." Rolf made it through the wall first after a short run but Alexandra simply closed her eyes and walked through, she'd done it last year when she'd come with her uncle to drop off Mathew. And now it was her chance. Their chance. It was just their unfortunate fate that they wouldn't have either of their parents waving them off from the platform. But at least they had each other.

When they finally cleared through the crowd of first years they saw Mathew. His golden blonde head shining in a group of third year boys. One of his friends, Lee, was holding up something for them all to see. Rolf abandoned the trolley and ventured closer when he realised it was a massive spider. Alexandra hung back.

"Oi, Rolf, when'd you get here? Was it alright getting here? No trouble." Mathew greeted with his signature smile. His friends all turned their attention to Rolf who awkwardly edged back toward his sister.

"It was alright. Where's uncle John?" Alexandra replied for her brother. Her eyes had already scanned most of the people in their vicinity and she was sure she hadn't seen her favourite and only uncle.

"Oh he had some work to look after. Some case in Romania about dragons." Mathew's friends hooted and whistled in appreciation while Rolf and Alexandra tried to hide their dismay. They'd really been hoping they could have thanked their uncle in person. It was only because of him that they could even go to Hogwarts.

"Well er, anyway. These are my friends. Lee Jordan, the one with the spider. Angelina Johnson, the quidditch queen. Alicia Spinnet, the gorgeous. Katie Bell, Gryffindor year two. And Oliver Wood, prat." All of them smiled when he introduced them. But Alexandra knew someone was missing. This wasn't all of Mathew's friends.

"Where are the-" Rolf started when two redheads ran into the group, quite literally. And the party was complete.

"And of course these are the weasley twins. Fred and George. You'll have to figure out on your own how to tell them apart." They both smiled and hugs were shared with smiles and laughter.
