"Huh, was human an only child?"

Raon asked out curiously remembering the meaning of the words when Cale was teaching him and his siblings Korean. He had honestly asked out of curiosity after reading a story of a lonely child who was also an only child. The reason was because the child in the story wasn't given a name and was instead refer to as 'Only Child'. 

He recalled how he too also didn't have a name until his human gave him a special name just for him, so he wanted to do the same for this character. The curious thing about the character was how every other character had a sibling or sibling figure instead of him and that what made him unique. So he asked his father figure the Korean name for 'only child' to which Cale responded with, 'Kim Dokja'.

Raon noticed how Cale seemed sad when he said the name but didn't push the matter. He instead tried distracting him with sweets and asking for more tips on scaming. Cale was obviously surprise but it indeed distracted him and he returned back to his usual self. Raon was glad because he never want's to see his human sad.

What he never realized up till now was that the name was actually Cale past life name. If he hadn't already felt bad from thinking he made his human sad he felt worse realizing he made him recall his past life.

"You are correct Raon, he was an only child but the name has another meaning that suits your father more."

"Nya~, what is it?"

"Reader. To which, fun fact. In his past life, he was the only reader who read and stayed committed to the story, 'Three Ways to Survive in a Ruin World', that has a total of 3149 chapters!"

The other mouth dropped like a drunk goldfish when they heard the number of chapter the story had. 123 chapters was considered as the highest number of chapters a book in their world could be while still holding an audience.

Hearing that a story that is over 2000 chapters was able to still hold an audience. Albeit only one but is still seriously impressive. Both to the writer and reader for being able to hold out for this long.

You seriously can never predict that guy( Cale).

"Was it young master favorite story?"

An old vicious lemonade grampa asked highlighting curiosity in both his tone and gaze.

"Of course, he even commented once that, that story was the only reason he was able to survive in his past life."

My answer was followed by a loud silence. It was a well known motto of Cale which everyone know he says in their hardest times,

So hearing that Cale would have already been dead in his past life if it weren't for that book was frightening to say the least. Goosebumps formed all over their skin.
