Chapter 1

It was the grand wedding day of two young lads. Jiang yanli and Lan xichen were to celebrate their long awaited spousal ceremony.

Red lanterns with golden clouds were hung all around the streets entering Cloud Recessess. There were also lotus decorations made of deep purple and copper gold.
It was truly the biggest event gusu had held in who knows how long.

Jiang yanli and Lan xichen had been in love since they were young. Although their parents had neglected the feels before, they knew the interests between the two were truly from heart and not just thoughts of vitality.

In the brides changing room sat a young and beautiful girl. Fair skin, slim physic , long hair, she fit the interest of any man. But not any man fit the interest of her. Jiang yanli may be a soft and kind hearted person, but her preferences in her partner were much specific.
Kind personality with no malicious intentions in the heart. Upright and a gentleman. Well mannered with vast knowledge. Strongly cultivated but not run by money.
Of course, she never said this to anyone but she had kept it in her heart that it will be what leads her heart in finding her other half.
This description fit none other than the one and only Zewu Jun aka Lan xichen.

The two had met often in clan banquets and meetings. Much often in parties. They got familiar with each other rather quickly because of how much they shared in common. The pair confessed early and wanted to get married early but their elders suggested that it would be better when they reach the right age.

Now that the both of them are adults, they only wished for their great part to happen.
Today, the day had finally came.

Traditional red and gold bridal outfit with much accessories. The makeup was basically not needed because of the brightness her face already beamed. The graceful luscious locks were pinned by a pretty lotus seed pod with a bead tassel hair hanfu. That of course was a gift by Zewu Jun. She looked as elegant as a human could possibly be. With each feature counted, she was literally an immortal princess. Simple but presentable.

Everything was as smooth as butter. No mistakes no faults. The process of having the bride ready was easy and quick.

Though that couldn't really be said about the groom's side of the part.

Jiang cheng was arguing that Xichen could not just marry his sister like that. Lan wangji didn't speak a word to anybody well, except wei wuxian of course. Jin zixuan was preventing a clumsy Nie huaisiang from ruining anything else. And it seemed as if wuxian was the only one paying attention to the helpless groom. There were maids to help them, but they dumbly excused any off duty claiming they could finish it.
