Author's note: Sry! Just wanted to put this here but I actually wrote this many years back, the flow of the story isn't as good as how I want it to be but I mainly published this to test the wattpad function ><
If you find the concept interesting lmk and I'll rewrite this story with better language use and publish some more chapters that I have stocked up.

It is the year 20xx. The world was in anarchy. Due to unknown reasons, creatures of the night called stalkers appeared, humans either started developing abilities which made surviving easier or like me, remained normal and have to suck it up.

What made matters worse are that the stalkers are not the only things humans had to worry about...

It's difficult to stay alive during the apocalypse. Especially so when you're being chased by the stalkers in the human world and the monsters in the Corridor.

We were being chased.

They look human but don't be fooled by their appearance. I'll rather death than be caught.

Basically we were fucked.

Outside the buildings we could hear screams of people being cut down and I knew that I had to hurry.

There was only 1 way to survive this, both of us were weak, the only tool I had was a measly knife; which I knew was absolutely useless against those things.

Its like using a toothpick to fight a lion.

I grabbed my sister's wrist and pulled her along.

The door should be nearby here, somewhere. I ran along the corridors of the building floor by floor before I saw it.

Marked with a distinctive red X infront of it. A pool of red liquid seeping out of the door.

Ominous sense of dread eminated from the room.

'We're going in there?' C gripped my hand.

'I heard from a friend, at least through there, we have smidgen of a chance at survival.' I took hold of C's hand firmly and walked towards the door.

This was a last ditch attempt for me if I ever met trouble but couldn't escape.

The thundering sound of footsteps from behind were getting closer.

'Listen, no matter what, absolutely, positively do not open your eyes. If not we won't be able to escape.'

I took a deep breath and twisted open the doorknob, and we plunged into the darkness awaiting us.

The door disappeared behind us.

Across the door, a very dimly litted corridor of width about 5m wide appeared before us, ahead were corners and the corridor seem to branch out in three directions, left, right and middle. My vision stopped about 10m from where I stood and I couldn't see where those three paths lead to. Where the light source was coming from, I honestly couldn't tell.

I touched one of the coarse stone walls and my fingers come off damp.

'Remember, eyes.' I whispered.

I tore off a long strip of my shirt and tied it over C's eyes.

Doesn't hurt to be doubly sure.

"What about you?" C whispered.

"I'll manage," I lied knowing full well that I had to open my eyes to navigate.

We took each step forward with trepidation-everyone has heard about The corridor. One step in, and you'll never get out.

But I heard from a friend, a mentor of sorts. There was one way, and one way only to make it out again. Not everyone knew this but those that knew know that it was basically still a death flag to come here.
