Was it only a year ago our 'It' girl mysteriously disappeared for, quote "fashion school". And just as suddenly, she's back.

Why did she leave? Why is she back?
Who knows?

"Come on, Chuck. I'm sure she had her reasons for leaving without telling—" Nate Archibald states, while playing pool with his bestfriend, Charles Bass. Chuck raises his hand, gesturing for Nate to shut his mouth. They had both just seen the GG blast, and is it really that shocking even Chloe's own brother didn't know why she left? We all know she had a tendency to hide things.

However, Chuck Bass didn't seem to care that his so called sister was back in town, except his bestfriend Nate could see right through him. In the past year, every time Chloe was mentioned Chuck would go stiff and try to change the topic, yet when someone would be speaking about her he'd always 'accidentally overhear'.

Chuck had thought her riddance had something to do with their father, Bart Bass, as every time Chuck mentioned her, Bart would ignore him or get angry. Chuck always thought what he would do when he saw her again, but he gave up on that thought quite awhile ago.

Snapping Chuck out of his trance, Nate clicked his fingers and gestured for Chuck to look at his phone. Chloe's location, she was in a limo on her way to the Empire Hotel.

"Fuck." Chuck thought.

Since Nate was a child, he had been best friends with Chuck and Chloe, their parents were close so they would go to the Hamptons each summer together. Although Nate and Blair had been dating for years, Chuck always thought there was something going on between his sister and bestfriend.

Nate Fitzwilliam Archibald was like an open-book, you ask him something he'll probably answer in full detail. He was the standard, and girls drooled over him. Except Nate had a girlfriend, Blair Cornelia Waldorf. Or Queen B, as Gossip Girl likes to address her as. Others perceive her as a bitch, yet her friends perceive her as cunning, scandalous and . . . a bitch.

Nate may have been dating Blair, but that didn't stop him from being best friends with Chloe Bass. The two were basically inseparable, but everyone(except Chuck) knew it was merely platonic. There was no denying Nate certainly missed Chloe, everybody could see it etched on his face.

Chloe and Blair had too many things in common, maybe that's what sparked their friendship. They loved scheming, adored it. They loved shopping, clothes and money. They both wanted a career in fashion, while Blair wanted to achieve it at Yale and Chloe wanted to achieve it at Harvard.

Serena Van Der Woodsen. She never really did fit in with Blair and chloe, maybe that's why she turned to drugs and alcohol. It's undeniable, yes. The three were close like sisters, but they had their issues. A fair ton of them, but they never stopped being friends. The 'Golden Girl' was charismatic, free-spirited and mysterious. She liked living on the edge, doing whatever whenever. Going off with Georgina on random side-quests, trying to drag Chloe and Blair down into her pit of intoxicants. And yes, maybe Chloe did say yes most of the time.
